Harry Potter discussion

For those who don't know what VH is, it's Virtual Hogwarts, found at www.virtual-hogwarts.org

It's an online bulletin board style RPG, and it's actually really fun and rather addictive. It takes place after Hogwarts has been rebuilt following the War. Your character gets sorted, attends classes, can duel, and even play quidditch, all within the rather extensive bulletin boards. Totally worth checking out for any RP nuts.

I'm on there right now as Kat Hutchinson, who I have restarted. I also have an inactive character, Elimarna Salavia, who I will restart in the future when I have time to do such a huge revamping of a character.

It is actually really fun. The next sorting period begins tomorrow if you decide you want to join and get a character involved right away. The way sorting works is you'll fill out the sorting form, and several weeks from tomorrow will be the actual sorting when houses are finally assigned (they like to give us plenty of time to fill out the form and get RPs done before Hogwarts), then the day after is the first day of the classes.

The classes are pretty awesome, too! I love them. So much better than any of my real classes.

You get several weeks to fill out the form, and everybody on the site is involved in the same roleplay together. Essentially, it's a digital Hogwarts (hence the name Virtual Hogwarts). So, if you created a character and decided to get them into the upcoming sorting, you could roleplay with my character, with a student in "3rd year" or with a professor. We're all there, all roleplaying together.

You can set up two types of RP threads, open and closed. Closed threads mean you have someone you have a plot set-up with and you are going to RP with them. Open means anybody can join in on the fun and spontaneous things can happen during it.

Excellent. Just send a PM to Kat Hutchinson when you get set up on there and we can chat there (instead of dominating this thread).

Also, the sorting form is open! :D I was in the first probably 5 or 10 people, maybe even 2 or 3, to fill it out and submit.
