WHAT does this have to do with books and book reviews? How is your post at all relevant?

This is a rude misuse of GoodReads. It's a prime example of how people abuse social media to their own self-entitled ends and torpedo whatever they might be trying to accomplish.

At the risk of alienating a lot of people who pursue the pointless feel-good, The Secret, cumbaya everywhere online, blind endorsements are pointless, ultimately undermining your credibility, kind of like the ribbons and trophies given out for just showing up, instead of actually doing something to earn the reward.

With respect anonymous Lydia - this is my group and you are a guest - if you don't like the host then leave quietly, thanks.

Had you bothered to look into why I was nominated - without my knowledge or agreement - you might have held your typing fingers for more useful things.

You spout on about the misuse of social media like you know something about it - trust me, you know very little - I have been using social media for over 4 years and the internet for over 15 - I have over 30k connections on LinkedIn, 5k here, 15k on plaxo, etc..... I run the LIONs, most sucessful group on LinkedIn and I know all there is to know about how low people will sink to exploit the medium - I could write a book about it!!
