Amie's 2010 Books
7. I heart you, You haunt me - Lisa Schroeder(My very first verse novel. I really liked the story but the verse writing was very hard for me. I felt like I was just turning the page every 5 seconds, so that distracted me. On the other hand, I really liked the story. Very heartfelt.)
8. Meridian - Amber KizerI really enjoyed this book. If you liked the "Wake" series or the "Immortal" series, I think you will enjoy this even more. Check it out! Thanks for letting me share. :)

I've looked into the Ellen Hopkin's books and passed on them because of the verse. Even though I liked the book I think I will stick the a traditional novel (until something else catches my eye)!
9. Devoured - Amanda Marrone(The last few chapters were ok, but unless you have nothing else to read, I'm not sure I'd bother!)
12. The Dark Divine - Bree DespainI ran across this book and loved the cover, so of course I picked it up. This turned out to be a really great book. I would recommend this book to anyone. Enough twists, turns & mystery to keep anyone happy.
16. Going to Far - Jennifer Echols(This book was only ok. It had some really good parts that could have gone so much better! I'm slightly disappointed.)
♥Rachel♥ wrote: "Did you like Hush Hush?"I really did like it. I was putting if off because the topic is Angels, the same as Fallen, and I thought it would be too much the same. But it was very different. The only thing was I needed to stick out the first couple chapters then it took off. I would recommend Fallen and Hush, Hush.
18. Raven - Allison Van Diepen(A really great read. The way it ended, I'm not sure of it will be a series, but I didn't feel like I was missing something. A very different take on the immortal idea. I will look even more into this author.)
19. The Strange Power - L.J. Smith20. The Possessed - L.J. Smith
21. The Passion - L.J. Smith
The Dark Vision Series
(A neat easy read series. Although reading them together seemed to make it drag out. I like to skip the recaps but that is hard to do when there is quite a bit of it. Good Books though!)
22. Shift - Rachel VincentThis is a wonderful series! I'm sad that there is only 1 book left to come but October can't come soon enough!
23. Promise Not To Tell - Jennifer McMahonI enjoyed this book by her much more than the one I read a few books ago. This story had better suspense and it was easier to follow along. I would recommend this book. Warning though it had moments that really made your heart wrench!
24. The Society of S. - Susan Hubbard(Very slow book. The general idea was good but it lacked a grat story line. Would not put this on a list of must-reads!
25. Firespell - Chloe Neill(This book was good, and I hope it was a setup for a series. If not, I'm not sure about how it ended!)
26. Hourglass - Claudia Gray(I have loved this series from the first book. This was a great addition.)
27. Dark Places - Gillian Flynn(This was a really great book. The premise is very sad and there will be no happily ever after. But the emotions are well expressed and you feel something for everyone, villians and victims.)
28. Thirteen Reason Why - Jay Asher(This was a well written, emotional book. I truly believe that this is a book that many will have a connection to. I know most people will read the cover and just think it is about a suicide, but really it is about the way people treat each other. How actions can have an effect on people. As an adult who lost a sibling to suicide many years ago, I felt jealous that there where answers to so many questions. But then, in the end, the same feeling of loss and no answers to the questions you'd want to ask. This book has brought me tears, memories, and those "coulda, shoulda, woulda" ideas. This book also brought me a sense of hope. The future isn't bleak, or set in stone. Anyone can make a difference.)
29. Willow - Julia Hoban(I read this book and could keep the song "Everybody Hurts" by REM out of my head. This books shows you have to look outside yourself sometimes to find the answers you look for.)
30. The Body Finder - Kimberly Derting(A really great read. I can't wait to see what this author publishes next.)
31. Midnight Sun - Stephanie Meyer(I really hope she changes her mind and completes this series! Even unedited this was only of the best stories I've read! If you haven't read this and love the Twilight series, download this and enjoy!)
32. Stopping Time - Melissa Marr(A prequel to her newbook Radiant Shadows, out the end of the month. The Wickedly Lovely series has been great so far, I can't wait to see what happens next!)
36. Glass Houses - Rachel Caine(Morgansville Vampire #1)
Interesting first book. I can't wait to see where theygo from here.
I happen to really enjoy all of Rachel Vincent's books. She also has a young adult series (The Soul Screamers) that is good.
38. Midnight Alley - Rachel CaineI'm really enjoying this series, but I'm so engrossed I'm putting off books I've been waiting for. I become so addicited to easily! So many books not enough time!
41. Gone - Lisa McMannI loved the first 2 books of this trilogy, and the 3rd is ok, but I think I would have enjoyed it more if it came out closer to the last. I ended up having to read the last few chapters of FADE to remember what was going on. But on the flip side, I love it when a series has a real ending. In all, a great series.
46. If I Stay - Gayle FormanThis is one of the best books I've read since starting this group. This book captured so much emotion is such a short time. There doesn't seem to be a single wasted word. If you haven't already read this book, READ IT!
46. Tainted - Brooke MorganThis was a good book. And a first novel for this author. I'll be interested to see if her next book will be as good. If you like mystery/thrillers, check this out.
48. Last Night I Sang to the Monster - Benjamin Alire SaenzA really good book about addictions and if someone really can have a second chance. At times it was a really tough but, but was worth it in the end.

2. My Soul to Save - Rachel Vincent
