I just moved Uncle Tungsten to a must shelf. You both must know about Surely You're Joking, Mr. Feynman! Adventures of a Curious Character, which I highly recommend!

Laura, what a mind he had. I would put him in the genius category. He can make anything difficult easy to learn. This is a biography of bits of his life. I adored his questioning, imagination and his behavior toward "rules".
that´s why I absolutely love his books since he is able to teach physics without any math behind. I must read this biography some day.
another genious, is Albert Einstein explaning his relativity theory even for non-physicists, quite amazing.
I have completed Isaac's Storm: A Man, a Time, and the Deadliest Hurricane in History. Here follows my spoiler-free review: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/.... This is an excellent book filled with the science of weather, the politics behind the Weather Bureau and the dramatic recounting of one terrible hurricane in Galveston, Septimber 1900.
