Megan, have you read a lot of Jodi Picolts books? I noticed tht you've been reading some of the older ones. I started reading her books when she first came out and I think I like the story lines in her older books more then the newer ones. I like the depth of her newer books though. It's great to watch an author grow!

Andrea, I have read quite a few of her books, I didn't really think about that until you mentioned it though! I've read about six others I think and I seem to get into her earlier ones more. I think they tend to deal more with base emotions and the human condition or something like that, at least if I were going to try to analyze it that's what I would come to I guess. I really just like the story lines better too.

I'm glad you brought that up because my mom is really the person that introduced me to Jodi Picoults stuff and she doesn't like the older books as well. Especially Songs of the Humpback Whale: A Novel in Five Voices which is one of my favorites, she couldn't stand that one. But it was good to hear from someone that enjoys the earlier writings.

I love Kristin Hannah, and I have a few of Jodi Picoults to get to this year..The Pact, and Vanishing Acts. I read My Sisters Keeper last year. I loved it. I like her writing style.
