Finished Definitely Dead by Charlaine Harris last night...a good, quick read. Not my favorite in the series, but they're always enjoyable.
Tore through The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold in about 2 days. I really enjoyed it, even though the reviews are very mixed here on Goodreads. I'm looking forward to seeing how the movie compares to the story...I've heard they leave out a lot of detail about the crime, which, in my opinion, is one of the crucial influences of the whole plot. I'll have to wait and see!
I absolutely loved Open: An Autobiography by Andre Agassi. When it first came out and there was all the media hoopla regarding his using drugs in the past, I thought the whole book would be sensationalistic crap. On the other hand, this was one of the most honest, raw, well-written auto/biographies I've ever read. I've always loved Agassi as a tennis player, but now I admire and respect him more as a person than anything else.
Laurie wrote: "I'm glad you liked it. It's definitely on my list."I've recommended it to lots of people that I think would also like it. Hope you enjoy it!
Book 5: Bed of Roses by Nora Roberts. Quick, fun read, nothing spectacular but enjoyable nonetheless. A good break from reading more serious things - it's like cotton candy in book form.
Book 9: Are You There Vodka? It's Me, Chelsea by Chelsea HandlerCan't believe this is my first exposure to her considering how famous she's become as of late - very funny book, more than a few times I woke up my husband from giggling while reading in bed. Highly recommended.
I'm currently reading this book. I'm almost through. I'm on the Re-gifting chapter. I've loved it so far. Have you read My Horizontal Life?
I really enjoyed that story in particular! I haven't read that yet but I definitely plan to. The final story in the book is especially funny :)
Been on a bit of a Stuart Woods kick lately while trying to read some books that have been sitting next to my bed for AGES:Book 14: Reckless Abandon by Stuart Woods
Book 15: Dirt by Stuart Woods
Book 16: Two Dollar Bill by Stuart Woods
Book 21: The Road by Cormac McCarthyAbsolutely fantastic. It reignited my love of real literature as opposed to the random - I hate to say it - crap that I tend to read. Can't praise it highly enough.
Book 29: The Beekeeper's Apprentice by Laurie R. KingBook 30: Winning Ugly: Mental Warfare in Tennis--Lessons from a Master by Brad Gilbert
Book 31: Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang by Chelsea Handler
Book 33: Nightlight: A Parody of Twilight by Harvard LampoonBook 34: The Nobodies Album by Carolyn Parkhurst
Book 38: Key of Light by Nora RobertsBook 39: Key of Knowledge by Nora Roberts
Book 40: Key of Valor by Nora Roberts
Book 47: Strip Tease by Carl HiaasenBook 48: The Burning Wire: A Lincoln Rhyme Novel by Jeffery Deaver
