Comfort Reads discussion

Occasionally, Lee and I will be adding fun polls and all group members can cast their votes.

There are now two polls up, with another one coming soon, and more to follow.

Many of you have already voted in the first poll: "Which genre do you most consistently turn to for comfort?" It remains open for further votes.

A brand new second poll is now up and ready for voting: "When you reach for a comfort book to read, what is your most common reason for doing so?"

Also, if you have ideas for polls you'd like to see in this group, feel free to post your suggestions.

I've just posted two more polls. I only sent out an invitation for the snack food poll but there is another one for beverages as well. Hopefully most of the bases were covered!

Fiona, Glad. I love them too. It's fun creating them also.

Lee and I have some other ideas we haven't posted yet, or fully created yet.

If any members have any other ideas for polls, feel free to post the ideas.

A new poll has been created to help us decide how to organize our bookshelves. Many of our members enjoy reading fiction and non-fiction set in countries other than their own. Since we are an international group and our membership is growing steadily we would like to make our bookshelves as user friendly as possible no matter what part of the globe you live in.

We currently have two shelves; foreign affairs and multi-cultural. Our thoughts are that we may be better served by creating regional shelves and ditching the foreign affairs shelf. Since there are almost 1500 books on the group shelves, this would involve a lot of work and we would like your feedback on what would be most useful and easy to use before we implement a change.
