Garret surfaced from underwater and started treading. He coughed and was glad that he didn't seem to be bleeding anywhere. He looked around and saw an island not too far off. He floated on his back to rest for a while and then started swimming towards the island.
Garret noticed Victoria and crawled over to her. He shook her shoulder gently, hoping she was awake.
Garret used American Sign Language to say 'are you all right?' He wasn't sure she would understand, but he decided to try.

'Good' Garret signed. 'Did you see anyone else nearby?'
Garret nodded and stood cautiously. He noticed a bruise on his arm and scowled at it. Then he helped Victoria up and looked around the island.
'I'm a hemophiliac' Garret signed, 'You know what that is, right?' He found some dry driftwood and started arranging it so they could make a fire.
((I gotta go...Bye, see ya tomorrow maybe))
Garret looked around for something that might light the fire, but didn't see anything. He tried rubbing two sticks together, but didn't succeed.

Garret nodded a thank you and went to get more wood for the fire.
((Oh, sure))
Olivia sat under the shade, her back against a tree's trunk. She was holding onto her knee and waiting for her brother to come back.

Garret closed his eyes and let the fire dry him. He opened his eyes and noticed Olivia, beckoning to her to come by the fire.
((ok))
Olivia noticed Garret gesturing her to come by the fire. She got up and did a small limp to the fire. She wrung out water from her shirt once more as she had done many times before then sat down and smiled appreciatively to Garret. "Thanks." She said.

Olivia nodded at Victoria thankfully. "So how'd you guys end up here?"
"Yeah, I think I remember seeing you on the cruise ship. I'm Olivia." She said, extending her hand to Victoria.
Olivia smiled. She took off the backpack that she carried with her at all times. There were a few soggy granola bars. She took some and handed it to the direction of Victoria. "want one? Their soggy but better than nothing."
"Okay." She said, taking it for herself. She looked up at the sky. "O gosh I wish I wasn't here!" she sighed frustratedly. She turned at the sound of footsteps, finding her brother Seth approaching with two fish.
Seth smirked. "I found some food." He said. He smiled at Victoria. "Hi."

"Seth Roe." Seth said. He paused for a second. "Do you know how to climb trees?" He asked after looked at the nearby trees.
"You think you could get the largest leaf you could find and a branch?" Seth asked.
Olivia looked at him curiously.

Garret watched them silently, drawing pictures in the sand with a stick. He listened and watched while he fed the fire.
Seth smiled. "Thanks." He took a rubber band he had kept on his wrist off and wrapped a stick to the leaf. "Hopefully this will work." He placed the fish on the leaf and hovered it over the fire. "We might need something to keep it steady."
Garret signed to Victoria 'could you get a few more leaves?' and found a sharp rock to clean one of the fish with.
Seth saw Garret using sign language. "oh, you use sign..." He said, mostly to himself.
Garret nodded. He wrote in the sand so Seth could read: 'I am mute.'
"thanks." Seth said to Victoria. Olivia started to dose off as she sat by the fire, warm and comforting

'Thank you,' Garret signed to Victoria. He cut up some of the fish and wrapped it in the leaves, which he set close to the fire so it could cook.
((gtg. see ya tomorrow))
