The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan

Percy Jackson is a good kid, but he can’t seem to focus on his schoolwork or control his temper. And lately, being away at boarding school is only getting worse—Percy could have sworn his pre-algebra teacher turned into a monster and tried to kill him. When Percy’s mom finds out, she knows it’s time that he knew the truth about where he came from, and that he go to the one place he’ll be safe. She sends Percy to Camp Half-Blood, a summer camp for demigods (on Long Island), where he learns that the father he never knew is Poseidon, God of the Sea. The Sea of Monsters by Rick Riordan

Well its 12+ I guess but its really funny and awesommeee! Anyone can read it! :D

Are they by any chance making a movie for it?

I loved the series and I seen the movie and I loved it

Would you guys suggest reading the books before seeing the movie?

Well you can do what you like but I would read the book before seeing the movie.

I have seen the movie already... It was really good too. Have been wanting to read the books as well but it will be later this year for those books cause I have quite a few that I have already got lined up for reading.

Started reading the Lightning Thief, but it is hard for me to get into for some reason.

Oh. My. Gosh! I love this series. Amazing! And the Lightning Thief movie is coming out on DVD on June 22. I'm buying it. I haven't seen it, but it's going to be awesome! Although people have said that it's not like the book. The books, are brilliant. Some of my favorite books ever. They're simple, but I love the story, and the characters.

These were some pretty good books!

Yeah they are good, but they start a little slow but when you finish it's definitely worth it :)
