Her romances are fun. You can see some of the # series characters in their beginnings. I read Naughty Neighbor not to long ago, also The Rocky Road to Romance, Love Overboard, Thanksgiving, Smitten, and Back to the Bedroom. My favorites? Love Overboard- the main character's name is Stephanie Lowe and she bears a striking resemblance to Stephanie Plum. In Rocky Road, the main character has an old woman from a nursing home as her bodyguard who reminds me of Grandma Mazur. Not a rereleased romance, but I recently read Hot Stuff, which was also fun.
Do you have any used book stores in your area? We have Half-Price Books near us and I have found all of them there; no shipping required!
I've just ordered like 5 or 6 of them from the Library they had some not all.
I love the re-released romance novels! Manhunt is my fave! You can definitely see multiple references to her later Plum books. Similar origins of the characters, many of the men have big slobbery dogs, the men are all gorgeous and hunky, and the ladies end up in the most precarious and ridiculouse of situations (example: in Thanksgiving she ends up playing house when a single mom losses it and drops a baby on her doorstep).
I just read Manhunt. It was pretty good. I was visualizing Debra Messing as the lead ... but struggled with the man. For some reason I kept thinking of Bo Duke from the old Dukes of Hazzard TV shows.I have a bunch more that I got from an eBay lot (which included some of my missing numbered books). Everything listed above, except Thanksgiving, is in that eBay box. I'll have to read more of them after Metro Girl and some others I have on my list.
