Tess Gerritsen is an excellent writer - all the medical facts are correct and well described. Her books are fast paced and non put downable!! Keeping the Dead is a great read

I agree, she is a wonderful storyteller with some very explicit medical facts, being a doctor she would know these things. I especially like Jane and Maura stories, these characters are spellbinding.
I agree with both of you. Tess Gerritsen is definitely a writer for the masses. Her works are fast-paced, complete and easy to read. I've enjoyed every book of her's I've read.
You all should watch the Rizzoli & Isles series online...it's very good and pretty much follows her books =]
New series is out next month!

I love her Books and agree you can't put them down the only one I can't seem to get into is 'Gravity'
I just finished Life Support and Tess Gerritsen has impressed me again with her knowledge of yet another aspect of medicine; geriatrics. She is a master at making the elevated world of medicine and doctors understandable to the masses. Her ability to create new characters and bring them to life is equaled with few and bettered by none. If I could voice one criticism it would be that she leaves her characters with their lives unresolved (no happily-ever-after endings) and leave it to the reader’s imagination. Romance is a key part of her creations but it is seldom accompanied with sex. All in all, Tess Gerritsen’s books leave the reader on an emotional high with questions swirling in their grey brain mass.
i think she's amazing, her books are amazing and i can't stop reading them. i think i will start reading them in english coz it takes ages to have them in Italy. can't wait to read another one:)
I love her books, but not so much the TV show - Angie Harmon isn't Rizzoli to me - if anything Sasha alexander is closer...Angie should be Maura - the tall, willowly, black hair...Dr Death
I've only watched one episode but have to agree with Dee. The descriptions in Tess Gerritsen's don't match the characters in the TV series.
It's true that the book descriptions do not match those of the tv actresses. I came to the novels after seeing the tv show so I find it hard to not have Angie Harmon in my head as I read. Likewise I'm finding the actors from the Lincoln Lawyer and The Firm (not Gerritsen's novels)are invading my mind as I read books from Michael Connelly and John Grisham.
