Holiday in Death will be my next Robb book. Right now, I started a Nora Roberts book "Genuine Lies".
I'm reading Acheron (Dark Hunter series) and then REALLY anticipating Laurell K Hamilton's new book Swallowing Darkness...
I'm currently reading The Third Victim by Lisa Gardner. I usually don't read books about children being killed, but I need this one for a challenge, and it has been a real pager turner from the beginning. I'm actually almost done, it's excellent!!
The Third Victim is a good book. I enjoy Lisa Gardner's books. Have you read the others in this series?
Ramona wrote: "The Third Victim is a good book. I enjoy Lisa Gardner's books. Have you read the others in this series?"No, I haven't. I definitely intend to do so. I was kind of reluctant due to the subject matter, but once I started, I couldn't put it down. I'm looking forward to the others. I haven't read a Garwood book in a while.

I just finished Knock Out by Catherine Coulter, it was good I love the FBI series
Yes, I really love Coulter's FBI series, one of these days I plan to re-read them. I'm slowing building my collection of hers also. I'm also a big fan of Kay Hooper's FBI series.
I have read all of Kay Hooper books, have you read the sisterhood series by Fern Michaels, they are definitely worth the read. My biggest problem is I read so fast that I am constantly looking for new authors,
Gina, if you haven't read them yet, Robert Dugoni has a good series beginning with The Jury Master, then Wrongful Death: A Novel and I just finished the latest one, Bodily Harm: A Novel. Dugoni is easy on the eyes as well. :D
I listen to Lisa Gardner's Say Goodbye on tape because my old college roommate is the reader. Always fun hearing your roommate talk about being a psychopath who enjoys killing people violently.Currently I am reading Henning Mankell's latest The Man from Bejing and Ian Sansom's The Case of the Missing Books. Plus I am reading a lot of young adult literature from the banned & protested list as my personal stand against censorship.

I have a friend who beta reads his books. I will have to give him a try. Thanks

Hey David,
I'll look for that audiobook; I don't think I've read that one yet.
Gina wrote: "I have read all of Kay Hooper books, have you read the sisterhood series by Fern Michaels, they are definitely worth the read. My biggest problem is I read so fast that I am constantly looking for ..."Gina,
I've heard of Fern Michaels, but I don't think I've ever read one of her books. Now my TBR list is going to get bigger. I wonder if there's a limit because I'm approaching 2000. Probably not, as long as their server can handle it.
My roommates biggest book he has done the voice work for has to be the Gargoyle by Andrew Davidson, fwiw.
Thanks David, although I don't think I would able to handle the audio on that one. I actually couldn't get through the book due to the accident parts. But I will check out the other one.
I just finished Infamous by Susan Brockman, that is a really good story line, but don't listen to the audio. There are two readers but neither one of them can manage to change their voices so you can identify two different males/females. I listen to audios when I am cleaning or doing something mundane, so my concentration is not always on the book. When S.E reads I can identify Peabody from Eve or Mavis and I don't have to follow that closely.
Currently I am reading Silver Master by Jayne Castle (Jayne Ann Krentz) `Dark Curse by Christine Feehan, and His Boots Under Her Bed by Ana LeighI quit reading the stephanie plum books because I am not seeing much growth in Stephanie. She is still pulling the same stunts when she was a new bounty hunter.
Dee wrote: "I quit reading the stephanie plum books because I am not seeing much growth in Stephanie. Actually the author introduces a love triangle." And I was like, "Ummmm... Okay, then! Book 4 is OFFICIALLY the end in my mind, because it's just not getting any better than that!" SEVENTEEN books, and she hasn't chosen between guys? RIDICULOUS.
That's one thing I LOVE about the In Death series! Usually the couple gets married, THE END. But in this series, you get to see their marriage, how they work together, how they work their issues out, etc. And J.D. Robb proves that a couple in a book can be married, but things can still be romantically interesting, you know? The main girl doesn't have to sleep with a new guy every book for the romance (or sex) to be great!
I so agree with you Sara. You were smart and only read up to four on the Stephanie Plum books. I read all the way to 10 and one minute she is with Morelli and the next she was with Ranger. I had read that Janet Evanovitch doesn't want her to get married. Not only that, she pulls the same stunts. Someone is trying to kill her and both Ranger and Morelli are using their skill and a lot of manpower to protect her and she, in all her brillance, eludes the backup. That is so stupid!
I love the in death series because Eve is smart. I can understand show she could try to set herself up as the target, but she would do it intelligently.
Currently, I am reading The Help by Kathryn Stockett. This book has been made into a movie and should be out in a few weeks. The book is about black maids in the south in the 1960s.
Dee—The Help was AWESOME!!! I recommend it to everyone! Enjoy it! I'm really excited about the movie!
Lullaby Town by Robert CraisThis is a pretty decent series so far, but I'm still not quite as in love with it as I'd hoped to be
Dragonfly in Amber by Diana GabaldonBook #2 in the Outlander series. I am actually "reading" these books and not listening to them; although when I finish the series I've every intention to listen to them on a re-read!
Karon wrote: "Dragonfly in Amber by Diana GabaldonBook #2 in the Outlander series. I am actually "reading" these books and not listening to them; although when I finish the series ..."
Karon, how do you like these books? I have the first one but every time I look at it I get freaked because it's so long. But I guess that's a good thing if it's a really good story.
I belong to Shelfari and there's a whole group of my friends who just love this series. I have it on my TBR shelf to start next month.

The first few chapters are kind of rough and boring Vanessa. Once you get past that it gets really good and it's really hard to put it down. I am so thankful that the books are huge! So much happens in them....they are big candidates for a re-read because I know I've missed important things. BTW, the things in those first few chapters are extremely relevant whether you think so at the time you read them or not. I had to go back and re-read them to make it all come full-circle for me after I finished book #1.
Jonetta wrote: "Lover Eternal by J.R. Ward. I'm loving the Black Dagger Brotherhood series."Me too. I just read lover unleashed! I also read the Anita Blake series and the Dark series.
I mostly read historical fiction. I LOVE Julia Quinn! I'm going through Meredith Duran's books right now. Really good so far!
I love mysteries and am trying to get through Lost Souls by Lisa Jackson. I love this author but am having a hard time staying interested. I'm also listening to Indulgence in Death and Open Season by Linda Howard. Thanks Karon for the Outlander information!!
I should mention that I'm still plugging away on the Robb series. I'm listening to Creation in Death at the moment.
Zeitoun I just finished Witness but I decided to read something else before I start on the next one.
I just finished a marathon, I re-listened to Salvation in Death, Promises in Death and Treachery in Death. Now I am re-listening to "Rapture in Death". Just can't get enough Lt. Eve Dallas
I'm re-reading Janet Evanovich's books one through twelve as well as George R R Martin's A Dance with Dragons. Can't wait for the next J D Robb book - it's already on pre-order.

I'm on a Linda Howard kick right now. I just finished Open Season and am starting Dream Man. Next up is Mr. Perfect. And through it all, I'm listening to Indulgence in Death.

I recently listened to Dream Man and loved it. I hope you enjoy.

I just read Chasing Fire by Nora Roberts and I'm a lil disappointed. I'm not sure what I was expecting but I didn't like it as much as I thought I would :(

It was okay. Maybe too much fire fighting instead of romance.
