Heather | 8550 comments I found this interesting book here on Goodreads and not only added it to my 'to-read' list, but I thought specifically of you, Amal, because it contains lots of illustrations :)The book is Living with Art. Reading the description, it said: "The book is rich with illustrations drawn from a wide range of artistic cultures and time periods." I think it sounds really helpful to those who want to learn more about art in general, and it could also be of help to the aspiring artist.

A. (almas) | 232 comments Thank you Heather,

I added it to my list, and I'll see if they have it at B&N or the local lib.

Jim | 147 comments I'm not sure where to put this but I've gotten IMPRESSIONIST QUARTET:the intimate genius of Manet and Morisot,Degas and Cassatt by Jeffrey Meyers

I choose this book because I love Degas's works (the dancers, the horses especially), don't know who Morisot is, have read different squibs where it seems Manet's contribution to the Impressionist movement was undervalued and want to know more about Cassatt.

Heather | 8550 comments Hi Jim, that's a good question. If that is the book you are going to read for the Feb book challenge, you can put your book under 'impressionists'. If you just want to comment on your book, you can create a new topic, OR you can just comment here.

Monica | 909 comments In a way I'm glad you mentioned it here, Jim, I may have missed it otherwise. That's not to say it can't be in it's own category!
