OMG!! Does this word exist? :D Is it the Mosel Steamship cruise company vice-captain's wife? If it is, I guess Michel has missed the "vice"-part just accidentally ;) By the way is "Gemahlin" an obsolete word? It sounds like that to me so it's interesting if it's used in a modern day conversation.
We have our first winner, it's Polina!Gemahlin is kinda poetic actually, you usually just say Frau or Ehefrau if it's not clear from the context that you're talking about your spouse.
As for the word's existence, you can compose your own words in German, so as long as they make sense, they exist!
So Polina, if you like it's your turn!
Ich werde ein Begriff mit meinem Studiengang verbunden benutzen (sonst ist es echt schwierig für mich :)) und ich bin nicht sicher ob er richtig ist: der EUerweiterungspolitikkomissarssprecher
The word's fine, but we're gonna have to change the spelling a little:EU-Erweiterungspolitikkommissarsssprecher
It's a great example of EU speak, thank you Polina.
So there you go, my bravehaerted learners!
Erweiterungs politik kommissarss sprecher extension political something person who speaks (sorry the last 3 words problem is in the english)
Hi Chris,It's actually the spokesperson of the EU expansion policy commissioner, but I think you were the closest, so I declare you the winner!
Feel free to chose the next word.

So here we go, our first word quite a classic really:
Moseldampfschifffahrtsgesellschaftsvizekapitänsgemahlin.
Good luck to everybody!
