One of my favorite scenes is in Jaynestown when they are all standing there looking at the statue of Jayne, and Kaylee says, "Wherever I move to, his eyes keep followin' me." And Simon says, "This must be what going mad feels like." And then not too long after that they are in the bar and everyone starts singing Jayne's hero of Canton song and Simon says, "No... this must be what going mad feels like."

I always like the scenes with Mal and Wash whilst Wash is flying Serenity, particularly in the movie Serenity , the opening line:
[As Serenity begins a fiery dive into atmo, a panel on the bow breaks off, flying over the cockpit's viewport:]
Mal: What was that?
Wash: Did you see that?
Mal: Was that the primary buffer panel?
Wash: It did seem to resemble—
Mal: Did the primary buffer panel just fall off my gorram ship for no apparent reason?
[Serenity shudders.:]
Wash: Looks like.
Mal: I thought Kaylee just checked the entry couplings. I have a very clear memory of it!
Wash: Yeah well, if she doesn't give us some extra flow from the engine room to offset the burn-through, this landing is going to get pretty interesting.
Mal: Define interesting!
Wash: [deadpan:] "Oh god, oh god, we're all gonna die"?
Mal: [on the ship intercom:] This is the captain, we have a lil' problem with our entry sequence, so we may experience some slight…turbulence, and then…explode. [to Wash:] Can you shave the vector?
Wash: I'm doing it! It's not enough.
Mal: Just get us on the ground!
Wash: That part will happen pretty definitely.

"Just keep walking, preacher man."

How about that scene where she's editing the Bible because it doesn't make sense?

"Just keep walking, preacher man.""
I love that, it is so hilarious :)

And I love that scene where River's so afraid of the hair! Man, I need to re-watch the original Firefly episodes..

MAL
Thought she was on the mend.
SIMON
The medications are erratic, there's
not one that her system can't
eventually break down, and you have
to recalibrate --
MAL
I want a lot of medical jargon thrown
at me, I'll talk to a doctor.
SIMON
You are talking to a doctor.
MAL
Yeah, okay -- point is, coulda been
you she mighta shot just then. The
doctor, as you just made note of.
And who exactly could fix you?
Not nobody. We're still in deep
space, Doctor, corner of No and
Where. You take extra care with her.
'Cause we're very much alone out here.

Poema (Elizabeth) wrote: "The first scene with Wash when he played with his dinosaurs."
That's when I first knew I was going to love the show.
That's when I first knew I was going to love the show.
I didn't watch the movie until after watching all of the TV episodes. Although I do wish I would have seen the movie when it was in the theaters!

my friend tried to watch serenity but i confused her so i told her to watch firefly and then serenity again.. I definately think it makes more sense..

First is when Mal got kissed by his wife and fainted from the poison or whatever on her lips and then Inara ran in and kissed him because she was afraid or whatever about loosing him or something. But what I really liked was how it affected her and she was just laying there like I hit my head I didn't get affected by her cause I didn't kiss you or anything. So funny!
Second is when Inara is teaching Mal how to duel with swords. I really like the discussion they are having because Inara is having a hard time believing Mal would stand up for her.
And I guess the other one is when Inara found out about Mal sleeping with her friend at the whore house and how hurt she was. That was tough to get through cause as we probably all did was ship Mal and Inara and wanted them to get together.
So yeah those are some good ones and there are others. Love the scene when they use my fav quote of Big damn heroes sir. Kaylee and the shooting of the guns when rescuing Mal. Mal and Wash argueing about Zoe and Mal loving her and wanting to sleep with her. Lots of good stuff in this show.
This was actually my introduction to the show, pretty much. People were talking about it and they mentioned this:
Mal: It would be humiliating, having to lie there while the better man refuses to spill your blood. Mercy is the mark of a great man.
[He lightly stabs Atherton.:]
Mal: Guess I'm just a good man.
[He repeats the poking.:]
Mal: Well, I'm all right.
The moment I saw this, it was just brilliant!
Another favourite of mine was the scene where Mal and Zoe had to play dress up, and Mal's the one who ended up wearing the dress. Which was a nice twist overall.
