Dvorak - Biblical Songs (by Bernarda Fink)

Matthew | 6 comments A love of classical music begins early. When my daughter was collicky as a baby, I played the New World Symphony to calm her down. Today, it remains a favorite for the whole family.

Héctor

Dvorak - Cello Concerto Op. 104 (by Jian Wang-Gustavo Dudamel and the Simon Bolivar Youth Sympohny)

message 6: by Eric (new)

Eric | 1 comments For the Dvorak Cello Concerto, I would suggest the Fournier, which is on youtube. That is the one I listen to, anyways. The Feuermann one is still the best, followed by the Rostropovich with Karajan, the Casals, the Rose, and the Fournier (with Szell).

I'm a cellist.

Héctor The version of Dudamel (beyond cello) has the strength of youth...

message 8: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca | 12 comments The concerto rants a bit, though.
My preference... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=25LaOo...

Did you know Dvorak loathed the cello!
