I'm pretty excited about this upcoming book!! But have we met the characters before?? I didn't recognize their names....

We have meet Carrow in Wicked deeds Jas, as for Malkom, he is a new character, but i think he has introduced in A Hunger Like no Other as the Ivo's soldier when they attack Val Hall

Actually i almost forgot the character of IAD's book Jas, cause i've read it a long time ago ^^. But join Kresley's forum refresh me for some story and character that I've missed :)

Sometimes I feel like I should start making character charts and whatnot for all these books, LOL, there are so many I get confused!! ;) Its a good thing I can chat with pple so I can start to remember!

It is a good excuse to re read them as well. I like to re read them a week or so before ta new one comes out. I have started rereading this series though as I was suffereing from Lykae withdrawal : )

The excerpt for the next book is awesome. And I love how we didn't really have to wait long to see who kidnapped everyone because she gave at least an idea in the excerpt. What is Carrow's mates name again, starts with an M? I like him already just from the sample.

Hmm, it's either Melanthe or Nix, though I'd rather that it be Melanthe. I don't feel Kresley has built enough tension on Nix as she has on Melanthe.
But then with Kresley you never know.

Kresley has mentioned before that she thought she would only do a novella for Melanthe and Thronos. I'd love to see their story but I don't think the book in August is it. I'd put my money on Nix, especially as it would be coming after Regin's.

With all due respect, all the attention they got and she's only doing a novella? Talk about shooting oneself in the foot.

I agree Estela, I for one am very excited for Melanthe and Thronos story. I mean he's out to kill her! How great is that?

Wait wait wait: is there going to be another book in August? I assumed the plans for the 2010 trilogy were a bit too optimistic.
I thought the next book was due in February 2011 (Regin's book: Dreams of a Dark Warrior).

NEVER MIND. I can't read, obviously! August 2011.

Kresley stated on her website, "I went (waaaaay) long on my last three projects (DftD=longest ever) and might do so in the future, so I was worried the quality might suffer (quality=job #1).
Plus there probably would have been a year long wait between installments. I asked to space the books out more evenly..."

The books are just being released 6 months apart rather than in consecutive months. I'd rather she take her time to make them good than be rushed and produce an inferior product. Doesn't help with my antsy pants though.
