Have you guys ever heard of Book Depository (http://www.bookdepository.co.uk/)? I've been hearing a lot about it lately because people point me to that whenever I say that I live in the Philippines. I checked out the site and the Philippines isn't included in their worldwide free shipping policy! I sent a comment to ask when they would add the Philippines to the list and they replied and said they'd review it at the end of the year. Maybe we should all send an email/comment so they'd take a hint? Haha kulitin natin. It's just sad that they say they have free worldwide shipping but we're not included.

Thanks Bluemoon! I'll check out that site. It's just that Book Depository has been mentioned several times by book bloggers. Another site that was recommended was http://www.betterworldbooks.com/ but they charge $5 per book and I'm still trying to decide if that's worth it.
Yeah, I saw. They don't have a list of countries in their website though so would it be safe to assume that they deliver here? Grrr book availability in the Philippines.
I already sent an email to aphrohead but I haven't received a reply. It would be great if they delivered here since they're based in the UK, they have UK editions of books. I love UK editions. I always wonder why they're generally nicer than US editions.
First order with them went fine but the second, I had the same problem Ace. ~Yelled at my credit card company only to find out it was BD's end that had the problem once my ccc lifted the caution...so I wrote an email to BD. Anyway, I was able to order yesterday without problems, so try again after a few days and see what happens.**QUESTION:
Does anyone know how long it takes to get the books they order from them? I ordered books to be shipped to my cousin in PI but she hasn't gotten it yet. It's been 6days already. I used their track site only to say that it was dispatched.. no date. That doesn't help me! Where in the website do you find the delivery due date?
Hope someone can help me figure this out. ~Thank you. :)

have you heard guys about the http://www.alibris.com ?i believe they're selling books with free shipping as well.:))
~Thank you Ace... kept looking and found it ...7-14days. ~I'll have to check that one out Rollie. Do you have experience with it?
Kwesi Ian Jay wrote: "Sure? Ang cheap ng books nila. Pa try nga next time kung may pera. Na try mo na ba Ace?"Yup, pero di pa dumadating yung book 10-16 days yata yung shipping. Basta kailangan may credit card ka or paypal, ok na yun.
The Tales of Beedle the Bard yung binili ko, P200+ lang, dito kasi P500++
Aaa ok, ilang books ba binili mo? at kailan mo binili? Haha nagtanong kaagad. Haha.
Kwesi Ian Jay wrote: "Rollie, they have cheap books, but I think Philippines' not eligible for free shipping."they ship free also dito sa pinas. kaso selected items lang ata.. pero if you'll try to register sa site nila, padadalhan ka nila ng mga discount coupon through email..
it's only bdo that i know. that's got debit card. i'll look for someone with credit card nlng. then pa-ride nlng sa order. :D
hi guys. I've been reading the TAC's for shipping in alibris. It said that shipping is free when the purchase reached $49? Is this true? I really want to buy The Tales of Beedle the Bard and Catching Fire. Arrrghh! Might even get either paypal/CC just for that. But if they charge shipping for just a book, then I won't buy there nlng.and for those who have made transactions with them, have you guys been charged for customs fee? grrr, I hope not.
@Joan: Tales of Beedle the Bard and Catching Fire are also available here in our local bookstores. I see them all the time in Fullybooked. Because of shipping fees and uncertainties with the Philippine Postal Service, I try to buy books locally if they're available here. Mas safe, diba? That said, I've bought books online a number of times, mostly from Amazon.com and betterworldbooks.com. Betterworldbooks does not charge $5 per book. It's actually $3.97 flat rate international shipping per book, but the book might take up to a month to reach here. Betterworldbooks is a great resource when you're looking for hard-to-find books :)
Tintin wrote: "@Joan: Tales of Beedle the Bard and Catching Fire are also available here in our local bookstores. I see them all the time in Fullybooked. Kwesi Ian Jay wrote: "Ace, natanggap mo na ba yung books mo sa alibris?"natanggap ko yung beedle the bard ko P180 lang ang price.
Ano yung alibris?
Oo, kaw naman yata nagsabi sa aking free. Haha, baka di lang tayu nagkaintindihan last time.
Haha, baka di lang tayu nagkaintindihan last time. Mas cheap ba bumili sa bookdepository kaysa bumili sa local bookstore?"yung iba mas mura sa book depository, yung iba naman mas mura dito.

Brefly, I've tried many times to order via bookdepository and I think the free shipping really minimize my expenses consider the amount of books you'll buy. The more the better. Haha. Thanks for the link.
I just received the book I ordered in Book depository. It took 3 weeks. The book is in superb condition, encased in a bubble envelope.
The book Iron Daughter is P599 in Fully Booked. But just paid P401 in Book Depository~ so yay! I am so glad!
I ordered a book from them last July. It was shipped on July 29 pero wala pa sa door step ko! I'm starting to worry. :(
Hi Patrick, don't worry. My books that I ordered from Book Depository took me 2 to 3 weeks for them to arrive so you have to be patient. Post office usually shipped those books door-to-door, ingat!
