Tressa (moanalisa) I've liked Sade since the '80s. I love her look and she's stayed true to herself and her music all these years.

Her new album is fantastic. I thought it was getting rave reviews; haven't read any negative ones but, like I said, I don't read too many music mags or sites.

I'm getting a kick out of "Soldier of Love." Great song.

Danielle The Book Huntress (gatadelafuente) I love Sade too. My favorite album by her is Love Deluxe, but most of her songs are good.

Danielle The Book Huntress (gatadelafuente) She has an album called Love Deluxe, too. I know because I practically have it memorized. LOL.

Here is a link on Amazon:

Danielle The Book Huntress (gatadelafuente) Stronger than Pride is a great album. I have her greatest Hits, and it's good b/c it has most of her best songs.

I've only heard what they play on the radio. She sounds very mellow.

What's a Soldier of Love? And why are you drinking Starbucks?

Danielle The Book Huntress (gatadelafuente) Soldier of Love is the newest CD by Sade. It's good.

I'm listening to Toni Braxton right now, not helping my sad melancholy mood, but i'm going to check her out. I might have to do it tomorrow, but when I do i'll let you know. I share my computer room with my mother-in-law, and she's not feeling good. So tonight she'll probably go to bed early.

Don't worry if I really don't like it, I won't tell you how bad I thought it was. I just quit a group because I asked someone not to say anything for just once. They have a way of ripping, and shredding things to bits, and I ask just this once for them not to. Turned out i'm the bad guy, so I just quit the group. I wouldn't do that to you, because you have already ask us not to.

Does she sound like Toni, or Whitney? I miss the old school Whitney Houston, before the drugs. She could sing so beautifully.

message 12: by Randi (new)

Randi (The Artist Formerly known as Guitar Chick) (guitarchick) Oh ok. And I drink starbucks on occasion. It's way too expensive for tea and a scone.

for-much-deliberation ... (formuchdeliberationreads) Anytime I think Sade I think ""you gave me the kiss of life"" .........good thing no one could hear me singing...

My youngest daughter came by last night, while I was listening to Sade. She bought it off the net a while ago, and she's going to burn me a copy. What I heard was really good.

message 16: by Tressa (new)

Tressa (moanalisa) I agree. Sade's new album is good. "The Moon and the Sky" is a great song.

I love the album cover. Very intriguing. At first it looked like she was on a balcony waiting for her soldier/lover to return, but she's lookng over some Mayan-type ruins. ?

We're going to see Wicked on Broadway Wednesday, my 3 grils and me, so i'm hoping she brings it then.

Danielle The Book Huntress (gatadelafuente) I like that cover, too.

Lori, I bet you're going to have a blast!

I sure hope so.

Randi (The Artist Formerly known as Guitar Chick) (guitarchick) Wicked? I need to see that somewhere. I've heard its really good. I'm a little behind on everything for a kid my age. Including school.

Jena (outlanderfan74) "Sweetest Taboo", "Your Love is King" and "Smooth Operator" is some of the finest smooth R&B to ever come out of the 80's!

message 22: by Robin (new)

Robin (goodreadscomtriviagoddessl) Especially the instrumental that starts it off.
