Maximum Ride Series is great. There quick and easy reads and you get to love all the characters. Did Fang come out yet? and if it has, has anyone read it?

message 18: by [deleted user] (new)

yeh ... cool *coughs*

message 19: by Spooky (new)

Spooky (spooky_sez) I recommend Nick Cave's first (of two, the second one is alright) book- And the Ass Saw the Angel.
It's Gothic Southern. By that I mean, the creepiness is framed by the South (US). Sick, twisted, quixotic read. I love it!

And the Ass Saw the Angel by Nick Cave

Bess (Neli) | 4 comments Jem wrote: "has anyone read Tallow?"

Yup, just okay would be my catchphrase on that one - interesting read but there were a few too many story lines that I wasn't terribly interested in going on there - didn't move along far enough in tallow's story.

message 21: by Bess (new)

Bess (Neli) | 4 comments The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society - I smiled the whole way through that read (when I wasn't getting a little teary in parts) just a really lovely book

message 22: by John (new)

John (aussieboy) | 3 comments Anything by Matthew Reilly, his books are action packed and won't leave you bored for a single minute, also his writing flows really good too :) i HIGHLY recommend his books.

message 23: by [deleted user] (new)

i've never read anything from him

message 24: by John (new)

John (aussieboy) | 3 comments yeah well he is pretty famous in Australia and other places.

message 25: by Spooky (new)

Spooky (spooky_sez) I just read Area 7 by Matthew Reilly. I read Ice Station when I was a teenager. I really liked it. when I read it. But now that my taste in books is a little more... philological, I can't read his stuff.
I think his writing style is much too simple, much too cliché and much too American.

message 26: by [deleted user] (new)

i like the cherub series

message 27: by thals (new)

thals | 136 comments i love the supernatural romance stuff - vampire academy, evernight, beautiful creatures, the mortal instruments, the immortals, fallen, hush hush, swoon, kissed by an angel, harry potter, twilight, eragon, etc. so if you like that sort of stuff you MUST read these books (:

i also definitely recommend the soul screamers series. they are SOOOO good. READ READ READ!!!!!!!!!! :D

one book that i read recently was dead until dark which is the first book in the true blood series. i just thought i should mention that if you dont consider yourself very mature, i wouldnt recommend reading these books. they have a good storyline and theyre written pretty well, but some parts have a bit too much detail. just thought i should warn you (:

message 28: by [deleted user] (new)

knowing thalia when she says mature she probably means MA15+

message 29: by thals (new)

thals | 136 comments hmm well...yes kinda

message 30: by Jem (new)

Jem (toomanybooksforfaviourates) | 164 comments I think I've said this before but anyway....If anyone knows a book (or series) that has a strong female character (protaginist?) and an adventure of any kind with a bit of romance.

I know thats a lot but those king of books always happen to be my faviourate.

Fang is AMAZING!!!! I thought it would be sad and I would have to throw it at a wall then apologize to it repeatedly, but I didn't, which is good because my family already thinks I'm weird enough. I really loved it!
