I don't doubt it. But I'm in the middle of the NJO series, i won't get to DB for awhile. Probably go and buy book 3 when it comes out in paperback anyway, nice to stock up and have them ready. Will there be anymore coming out?
I know there is another old republic series starting too.
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/74...There's some other new books coming out later this year but I have to research that more. But I think that series will be a tie-in or accompaniment for the new MMORPG Star Wars-The Old Republic that comes out the first half of 2011.
(Jumping up and down excitedly)
These books look great. On the cover of the second one, is that Darth Malak? That could be an interesting tie-in with Knights of the Old Republic.

Hey, I'm new here, but I just wanted to say that I've been playing/reading Old Republic stuff for YEARS, so I am highly anticipating the new series.July 27th is going to be a great day for the EU communtiy!
Also, I read (and loved) the Darth Bane book, so thank you for mentioning it.
Very true. But if you're anything like me (history nerd), it's really, really exciting to finally get more of an origin story for the Old Republic.
I'm reading the third one now and I hope he continues to write Sith novels in the future. If you haven't read it, there's a Bane short story, Darkness Shared from Star Wars Gamer #5 that deals with him going after a sith holocron, Indiana Jones-style. I think you can still find it on Hyperspace, if you're a member. If I recall correctly, one of the novels made reference to him leaving and later returning with said holocron.
It's true that the Old Republic is a good place to focus now, especially because there has always been such a huge focus on what has happened during the Clone Wars era and the Galactic Civil war. The Darth Bane series seems to me like it was just a test of the waters to see how well it would be recieved. Quite well.
By the way, thanks for mentioning Wookieepedia. I'm glad I'm not the only one who uses it.

Ha. Just a second ago I was on Wookiepedia. Was reading about the Darth Plagueis novel that has been un-canceled and set for release in 2012. Which of course focuses on the times before Palpatines power during his training as a Dark Jedi.

By the way, Darth Bane is as good an Old Republic novel as you can get. I still haven't read the other two, but I'm getting around to it.
