She really matured throughout the series. I love the way she interects w/ Barrons. The following quote sums up Mac to me:

I do like when Mac battles with Barrons, their verbal and non-verbal battles are great fun. She has very much changed over the series, but she does keep her essence at her core, which I am glad.

OMG Vale, I totally agree, that is my fave thing they do!

I love Mac she is awesome I liked her even when she was more immature. It adds to who she became. The last book she became much darker. I miss the lighter part of her unlike some.

Me, too! One of my fave things b/tw these two. I always wonder, though, if she is totally getting what he's thinking just absolutely wrong. Especially since in the beginning she is so immature!
I think the dark Mac is not as fun as rainbow Mac.

I would love to see the teasing side of Mac. Not HaHa teasing but sensual teasing. For example, Mac teasing Barrons into a steamy kiss and him unable to deny her. That would be awesome!

Ok...so I'm on the wrong thread w/this and I'll post on DREAMFEVER thread, too, but...I just re-read the 1st couple of chapters in DREAMFEVER and I totally missed something the 1st time I read it and was kinda scary for me to read.
The 4th rapist was "tender"??? WTF?

NO!!! I think dreamy eyed boy was a "son" of one of Barron's crew or something. He definately hung w/them. haha...I just don't believe it of dreamy eye boy.

IDK....Barrons is suppose to be lost in the mirrors but he gets out b4 Christian. I don't think it's Barrons, but it gives me the creeps that the description "tender" is used. Just eeeewww!

I think it was Darroc. And that is when he put his mark on her onthe back of her neck like Baroons or Maybe it was Ryoden adn he put his mark onher...

I think the 4th person at the rape is the Book. Since the Book is apart of the Unseelie King, and Mac seems to be a reincarnation of the concubine; it would make sense that the Book would be tender toward her.

Interesting idea. I think Mac is stronger than the concubine though. And the concubine was only human. The UK was trying to figure out how to make her immortal by turning her fae. Hence all of the unseelie that he made trying to figure out the song of making. I think Mac was born something more. We don;t know what her grandfather or father was.

I think you are right. Mac is developing a lot of fae power. Maybe her mother was a reincarnation of the concubine and the Unseelie King is her father. Although, that would be kinda eek since she seems to have had erotic dreams (visions) of the concubine.

Mac seems to have the potential to be dark or light. This would make sense about her father being UK or unseelie. But that would mean the 3 princes were her brothers. Another ick idea. The two prohecys needs to be explained more. I am going to re-read for the third time and use sticky notes and highlighter to mark all facts that are revealed and questions that arise. LOL It is like a school assignment I want to do.

What bothers me is Darroc's mark. Don't you think Barrons should have been able to sense or see it during their "recovery workout" sessions? If he did know it was there, don't you think he would have been upset that someone else marked her? He seems somewhat possessive of her and would think something like that would really piss him off.

That's a good point Theresa, I hadn't thought about that. Barrons has seemed so on top of things, and definately possessive of Mac, so how could he miss another mark on her?

Maybe Ryodan was lying about that. It is never confirmed by someone else looking at it or Mac seeing it for herself.

so many questions. i didnt even think about the mark that ryodan claimed darroc had on mac. so mant questions to be answered.

As I’m getting back to reading and finishing the Fever series, I’ve noticed that Mac is disliked by not only the readers, but also the Nine and other characters. In fact, I’ve noticed that the Nine + the others seem to praise and love Dani more often than Mac. To some people Mac may be a brat, but she’s far from that, imo. She’s had big character development and yet people seem to dislike her a lot, especially the people she’s surrounded with. They don’t take her seriously and people seem to forget that she literally has the Sinsar Dubh in her. She’s really powerful.
