Cool! Kinda reminds me of the Dropkick Murphys, who made a deal with the Red Socks, and told em to play their song "Tessie" at every one of the games and see if they won the wold series. They did.
very cool. I like rock n' roll, baseball, Stephen King and movies. Stephen King is a Red Sox fan, threw out the 1st pitch in the movie Fever Pitch (about baseball) that used Dropkick Murphys remake (or revamping - not sure of the correct word here) of Tessie. All grand things combined! Oh, I also have a LOT of Irish in me blood. The song Tessie is actually over a hundred years old and has been used by Boston baseball for most of that time. Dropkick Murphys gave it a pumped up energy.
Now, back to RCPM and the D'Back swing. I think it is incredible that a local band was approached by the baseball team to write their theme song. Says a lot for the local fanbase.

Fronted by Roger Clyne with drummer P.H. Naffah, lead guitarist Jim Dalton and bassist Nick Scropos, Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers are the only independent band to debut in the Top 10 on Billboard's Internet Sales chart for six consecutive albums, including two #1 entries. Clyne & Naffah enjoyed an accomplished stint with The Refreshments, the late-90s rock band whose cult-classic album Fizzy Fuzzy, Big & Buzzy produced the hit singles "Banditos" and "Down Together." Clyne wrote and performed with The Refreshments the theme song for the hit cartoon King of the Hill.
Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers stepped up to the plate in 2007 when the Arizona Diamondbacks, the band's hometown World Series Champion Major League Baseball team, when they were called on to write a rockin' Dbacks theme song. The "Dbacks Swing" is a homerun with Diamondbacks fans everywhere.
