Looks like our rocket team got first at state. Everyone else went to the boring banquet thing. I get to be in the hot tub and watch all of the kids. Our new Math insturtor from another school is pretty dang hot in a geeky math way, and young. First time I met him and I almost tripped over myself and it was so windy my hair was a mess all day.

Ronda Tutt (rondatutt) Hi Everyone, I just wanted to let everyone know that I have to sell all my books, most of them hardcovers because my hubby and I are going to be RVing soon and I can't take my books. I've sold a lot of my paranormal ones already. I have a few left. I have lots of fantasy, mystery, etc.. left. Come check out my For Sale Shelf. Hardcovers are $3.00 and soft covers are $2.00. No Tax and only one shipping free.

Today my oldest son turns 9! Oh boy, and he is nearly as tall as me. and he already wants to drive. I'm in trouble.

message 26: by Zakiya (new)

Zakiya LadyWings (zladywings) | 195 comments Lol, I'm sure you'll be able to handle him. How tall are you exactly? And tell him I sadi Happy B-day!! :)

message 27: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm 5'1. A short thing... it doesn't take much for anyone to be taller than me.

We are going to Chuck E Cheese's for pizza and games.

9 is when I started driving. :) Of course, I grew up on a farm.

message 29: by Ronda (new)

Ronda Tutt (rondatutt) Hope you son has a wonderful birthday - enjoy the boys as much as you can because before you know it, they are grown and move out and then you will miss them. I miss my kids so much sometimes. Now I have grand kids and when I get to see them I spoil the crap out of them - LOL

Awww, wish I could be ther; I love CEC's. And it would take a little more for me to be taller than you actually. I'm 13 and only 4'11"... Lol :)

message 31: by Jencey/ (new)

Jencey/ (jencey) Hop you are having fun celebrating! :)

Happy Giving-Birth Day to you! Moms should get lots of props on kids' birthdays - we worked HARD to bring them into this world!

OMG Karli...I am sooooo with you! And the kid can't sing either! I don't see what anyone see's in him.

message 34: by [deleted user] (new)

Ok... First of all who the heck is Justin Bieber?

Second of all the birthday party went great. It was so last minute but a lot of the fam showed up and with gifts. Hayden got way too many presents, mostly nerf guns. Which he loves. He thinks he is collecting them.

Third, he knows how to drive the 4 wheeler and takes the younger ones for rides often. And he has the job of cutting grass at my grandma's with the riding lawn mower. (I wish we had one when I was young!!)

Fourth, I'm going RVing when they all fly the coop. Me and my books. LOL!

message 36: by AAAlien (new)

AAAlien woah, great!

message 37: by [deleted user] (new)

I thought it was a pretty good find. Her books are about 5 dollars a piece. With tax... 5.20. I roamed around. She had a ton of books. There are many books that have been swapped 10 times or more. Great to see so many use the store.

message 38: by AAAlien (new)

AAAlien i wish there was something like that where i live :(

message 39: by [deleted user] (new)

I had no idea for the longest time. I drove past it one day but never went in. It is on the other side of town which I have no need to visit. But I seen a commercial and I figured it wouldn't hurt to check out the place.

If you swap books then you only pay 1/4 of the book. About 2.50 she said. I'm excited to have found such a gem.

message 40: by AAAlien (new)

AAAlien :) good for you

OMG Elyssa...it is obvious you have no tween-teenage girls in your house! lol...he is all the rage, but I am just not seeing it!

message 42: by KSMary (new)

KSMary So glad that my DD is past the age of liking Justin Bieber. I don't get it either!

message 43: by Ronda (last edited May 04, 2010 07:15AM) (new)

Ronda Tutt (rondatutt) Thats great Elyssa about the book swap, We have a couple of places here in Austin TX that do that only if you swap but if you try to sell your books to them, your lucky to get 50 cents to a $1.00 for your books.

by the way, thank you for buying lots of my books. If there is anyone interested, I have about 150 books left to sell. I am not a seller or a store. I have to sell all my books because my husband and I are going RVing and he kindly informed me I couldn't take my library with me. So if anyone is interested, check out my "For Sale" Shelf. Most of them are hardcover but I do have a few softcover.

Hardcover's are $3.00 and Softcover are $2.00 - No TAX, and only one media mail rate for the whole pkg

All the books are in great shape, still new looking. I have a few paranormal reads left but I have a lot of fantasy, mystery, winter/christmas, cook books etc... left

message 44: by [deleted user] (new)

I had to ask around to find out about this Justin guy. I def wouldn't of heard of him. I listen to screaming heavy metal. Rock, and of course Ozzy and Bob Dlyan.

message 45: by Andrez (new)

Neither am I!

My sister, who is eight, is the total non-Disney-channel kid. She doesn't like Hannah Montana or High School Musical.

What does she like? Musicals. Jane Austen movies.
After we watched High School Musical Three, her response? "Can we watch The Sound of Music now?"

I'm doing my job :D

message 47: by Andrez (new)
