Veronica (v_a_b) Have you ever had any amusing conversations? Or head someone say something just as you walked into the room, and it sounded akward, but really funny?

For instance, I overheard some kid in the hallway say something about somebody chucking their shoes...

Also, I know some of you are in the group, but Writing Passionates has a discussion 12 pages long filled with conversations people have with their characters that they write about. It started out as a character development exercise, but, well, you would have to see yourself. There are twelve pages (most likely more soon) so you don't have to read all of them. But if you want a chuckle, go there. There are also ongoing conversations throughout the entire discussion, so I would start at the beginning.

This wasn't really a discussion. I was in the room the whole time.

Memories from Cats was playing on the computer and my mom and brother decided to have some fun.

I looked up and my mom is mouthing the words and dancing because she knew all of the words.

And then there is my brother. He does not know any words. He is just randomly dancing and mouthly random words.

When I looked up, I just started bursting out laughing.

message 3: by Veronica (new)

Veronica (v_a_b) LOL!

message 4: by Veronica (new)

Veronica (v_a_b) I can totally see your brother doing that!

message 5: by Michelle (new)

Michelle (michellerobins) ok, this is random, and not a convo, but still.

it was in fifth grade, and i had to go to another classroom for latin class, and a few of my friends and i were walking back to our regular classroom. Inside the said classroom, our class was playing silent ball. So the guy in front of me was just walking into the room. And the ball is thrown and it comes straight at him and he actually catches it! My friend behind me was laughing hysterically, and so was everyone else. He was just looking around like, what jsut happened? it's not as funny as i type it, but it was hilarious at the time. i guess you just had to be there.

message 6: by [deleted user] (new)

Veronica, my brother never acts funny in front of my friends. How can you imagine him doing that?

message 7: by Kenzie (new)

Kenzie What about at your birthday party? He was pretty funny then. Most of the time.

message 8: by Veronica (new)

Veronica (v_a_b) Yeah, I've seen your brother be nutty a few times. Not many, but a few.

message 9: by Kenzie (new)

Kenzie He's usually pretty serious. Does he still golf Kassy?

message 10: by [deleted user] (new)

Duh! He loves it! I can never imagine Jake giving golf up!

message 11: by Veronica (new)

Veronica (v_a_b) Sometimes I say things somewhat loudly in the hallway during a regular conversation, just in case other people are listening. They are funny things, usually.

Like once I said something like, "I wasn't to be an M&M!" but it actually fit the context of what we were saying.

message 12: by Paige (new)

Paige Miller someone in the hallway once said,

bananas are better than oranges.

totally random. we had been talking about a math test.

so i go, why?

and he was all, because what other fruit has to share it's name with a color?

it was the weirdest convo ever. :D

Danae (the_secret_writer) | 12 comments I always say stuff that people catcht at the wrong time like i was talking about when i was eatting my hamburger and the pickles squicked and i said really loud "and about then the pickles were squicking like crazy"

message 14: by Paige (new)

Paige Miller lol thats really funny

message 15: by Margaret (new)

Margaret | 13 comments Lol, sounds like narrating your life... which I do way too often. So, my brother was just talking about his composition class in highschool, and there was this one guy talking about reviewing peers' papers, who said, "I always put 'make it flow better' on the papers. Once some one asked me what I meant, and I don't know what I mean, so that's what I told them." After that my brother started putting 'make it flow better' on all the papers he prooofread. It sounds funnier if you imagine someone in your class saying that. :D

lol, that character conversations topic... hilarious.

message 16: by Paige (new)

Paige Miller lo that's funny 2

message 17: by [deleted user] (new)

My friend told me that in her classroom, people were proofreading each others papers. Andrew gives Bryce a bad review, so Bryce gets "mad" and gives a post-it to Andrew that says, "die in a fyre noob". Apparently, Mrs. Mason got mad at the wrong person and started yelling at Andrew.
Big whoops.

message 18: by Paige (new)

Paige Miller fyre noob?

message 19: by Kenzie (new)

Kenzie Does that person happen to play RuneScape by any chance?

message 20: by Riley (new)

Riley (booksarecool) lol.

message 21: by Paige (new)

Paige Miller again... fyre noob?

message 22: by Kenzie (new)

Kenzie Well, RuneScape is a medieval game, where the say things like 'fyre'. And they call new people to the game, "noobs". It's supposed to be some sort of insult. Really lame I think.

message 23: by Riley (new)

Riley (booksarecool) The proper term is n00b, which you would know if you were a level seven knight like me!

message 24: by Riley (new)

Riley (booksarecool) Just kidding, don't really play runescape.

message 25: by Paige (last edited Jan 24, 2009 10:33AM) (new)

Paige Miller i know what RuneScape is, that's all the guys at my school talk about. That and world of warcraft or whatever...

I just didn't know what fyre noob meant.

message 26: by Kenzie (new)

Kenzie Riley I was saying noob in the plural form. I actually play that game. LOL I'm a lvl 53.

Long story....

message 27: by Paige (new)

Paige Miller wow really? Is it fun?

message 28: by Kenzie (new)

Kenzie Mmmm ... I dunno. I'm kinda addicted. My cousins fault. I enjoy it, somewhat. Even it there's NO course for you to go on. It's just a site where you try to level up and get strong.

message 29: by Paige (new)

Paige Miller ????????? I'm going to act like I know what you're talking about???????????

Yeah, uh-huh, that's right. Definitely.

message 30: by Kenzie (new)

Kenzie Uh, yeah. Nevermind. :/

message 31: by Paige (new)

Paige Miller :D

message 32: by Veronica (new)

Veronica (v_a_b) I know what you're talking about! I'm a level 2, but got frustrated when random people would kill me. I also lost my wood chopping ax and my tinderbox :(

And noob isn't just a term used in Runescape. It's used widely in online games, and refers to any player that is new and inexperienced. It's short for newbie.

message 33: by Kenzie (last edited Jan 20, 2009 01:53PM) (new)

Kenzie Well, that's where I've heard it. *shrugs*

LOL. You must have been on a pvp world. That's the only place where people can randomly kill you. Unless it was like a random man or woman. Those attack you if you're at or under their level. Dangerous. XD

You know you can just buy that stuff back, right? Tinderbox is 1 coin (I just had to replace my own), not sure about an ax. You can usually find a few laying around, though.

message 34: by Veronica (new)

Veronica (v_a_b) But then once I accidentally clicked attack on a person with a higher level than me. And I died.

And I know that I can buy stuff back. I just haven't gotten around to it.

message 35: by Kenzie (new)

Kenzie Yeah, that's not good.

Anyways, off of RuneScape ... um....

Amusing conversations anyone?

message 36: by Paige (new)

Paige Miller ummm.....idk

message 37: by [deleted user] (new)

Memories of amusing convos are escaping me....

message 38: by Riley (new)

Riley (booksarecool) Okay, here's one, via IM

Hey Riley!
Hey Curtis!
Whatcha doin?
Making Baked potatoes!
eeww!
You don't like baked potatoes?
No, just being random
Okay.
GTG, homework!
Bye!

message 39: by Paige (new)

Paige Miller Let's see...oh i know...it was in the pay if forward topic, I think, where I posted it....let me see if I can find it.

message 40: by Paige (new)

Paige Miller For those of you who didn't already see it...this was my attempt to get people to pay it forward.

Setting: School [Lunchtime:]

Characters: Paige, River, Blake,

River: Hey, Paige, can I borrow 50 cents so I can buy a soda?

Paige: Umm, sure. *brightens at thought of paying it forward*

Paige: *hands River 50 cents that she fished out of locker*

River: I'll pay you back tomorrow... I promise! (She never does... but anyway...)

Paige: Don't pay me back... pay it forward.

River: What?????? *confused look on face* What do you mean...pay it onward?

Paige: FORWARD. Not onward. F-O-R-W-A-R-D.

River: Still...explain?

Paige: *sighs* Okay, so there's this thing...*explains*

River: *listens patiently*

River: Okay....*ponders* *taps her boyfriend on the shoulder*

Blake: Hey... What's up? *smiles*

River: *hugs Blake*

Blake: Uhh...*hugs River back, confused*

River: *walks over* There. I payed it forward.

Paige: *slaps hand against forehead*

River: What?

Paige: *shakes head* Idiot.

River: WHAT?!?!?!?

Paige: Never mind.

Sorry that was really long... anyway, my attempts so far have been...interesting. :D

Twas a very amusing convo....
