*sighs*
I also want to see RENT very badly.
Even though I know most of hte music to that one too. =)

Knowing all the lines doesn't matter. I had (and still have) Spring Awakening committed to memory when I saw it. XD

Yeah, I would wait a few years too. Once you're old enough, though, it's epic. ;)

My moms seen it I think...
But my favorite musical at the moment:
*drum roll please*
LEGALLY BLONDE!!! SOOOO GOOD!!

More proof that Les Mis rules the world! :D
The best straight play I've ever seen in "Doubt", followed by "Witness for the Prosecution". I haven't seen any for a while, though. The only theatre near me that did straight plays closed almost exactly one year ago. It was sad. They were amazing!

I really hope the tour adds more locations, hopefully more towards the Northeast. At the moment, I'm trying to think of a way to get down to Baltimore next March. Probably through a college visit. XD Why does it have to be 10 hours away?

I have to drive like, 45 minutes! (well, my parents have to drive that long)

It's not insane. *denial* I literally am willing to go great distances for the shows I love. Unless there is another Spring Awakening tour stop, I will be going four hours down to Long Island to see it.

I sure hope not...
but oh well, guess I'm gonna have to go to New York. Ah, darn.
I do not watch glee, I wish I did, but alas, my parental units do not allow me too. =(

It's not in New York anymore either! :( (Grumbles about how unfair it is that Spring Awakening only lasted a year and a half while Rent lasted around 10 years....SPRING AWAKENING IS BETTER THAN RENT!)
Oh well, maybe your parents'll be less strict about it when you're older.

NOT ON BROADWAY?!?! WHAT IS THIS WORLD COMING TOO?!?!?
I will definetly see both once I am old enough too.

My thoughts exactly. :P
I hope it's still touring once you're old enough. You're going to love it. It's such a gorgeous story.

and then I was watching some music videos by Nickelback.
And I listened to this prank call a guy did to Walmart. It was funny.
What did you want to recommend?

OK I'm so glad I found this thread, I am a Guilty One
Next weekend I'm going to ask my aunt to take me to the show in Ft. Worth
I could ask my mom (I'm 17 and we have a great relashionship (sp)) but I personally wouldn't be comfortable sitting through it with her
PS, Why isn't there a goodread group for this wonderful musial

I'm not sure how many fans of the show are on goodreads. I've thought of starting a group several times, but that's always held me back.
I need to see a show again so badly. I haven't seen anything since early June. I'm going into severe withdrawal!

musicals I have seen are west side story (that is a musical right cant remember) and one other dang I cant remember what its called something about 3 kings maybe hmmm its been awhile since I've seen it.
For anyone who likes modern issues (and is mature enough to handle some strong language and scenes of a sexual nature), I would strongly recommend Spring Awakening. It's set in Victorian Era Germany, but still hits on a lot of today's hot topics, like teen sex, teen pregnancy, suicide, aborition, sex education, authority, etc.... It's a rather epic show. It's very touching, and has awesome music.
:D
