its the only book of Neil Gaiman that i've read..n i love it.its movie adaptation is very good too..
I fell in love with this book twice. I read the version of the book that had illustrations by frequent colaborator Charles Vess. I loved it from begining to end. Later on I found out that Neil Gaiman did an audio recording of this book as well and I am always curious to see how well an author can narrate. I have listed to many audio books and no other narrator can so efortlessly tell a story as well as him. His voice is soothing and charming and you want to hear more. Like going back to childhood and asking for another bedtime story. An absolute treasure of an author.I too enjoyed the movie but I was disapointed by it because it failed to capture the magic and whimsy of the novel and changed the ending to an unnecessary one in which spoiler: the kill the witch where as in the book the witch lives on because she is no longer a threat to the star because of true love. Which I think is alot more powerful and beautiful then the formulaic endings of Hollywood. But Still worth watching.
