Since I have the two acts of my book on Amazon Kindle, and it's published solely through that, how can I still get decent buzz and expose for the work out there for customers to see?

Why not start posting interesting discussions in the Amazon Kindle forums and Kindle Communities?
Are you an Author Central author? If not, get your page together, blog free on Amazon, and... as I said... chat with the Kindle Community.
These suggestions are more "decent buzz" related than review related.
Also, if you bear in mind the saying "Be careful what you wish for..." you could ask this question on the Amazon Kindle discussion group, and see how many readers decide to buy your book and post reviews.

Seth,
I realize that you want to meet readers, not other authors, but apart from the Kindle readers' discussions
here:
http://www.amazon.com/tag/kindle/foru...
there are two GoodReads groups on Amazon
here
http://www.amazon.com/tag/goodreads/r...
and here
http://www.amazon.com/tag/goodreads%2...
By the way, Seth, I should really appreciate it if you'd tag the only novel of mine that is in the "Goodreads Author" rankings. It has been tagged twice in the community and is on page 9 of products.

Get yourself onto the front page by clicking to agree that authors whose names/book titles you recognize are indeed GoodReads authors.
It's a start.

To have full control of your editorial description on Amazon - this includes review snippets...just too AWESOME!

I've had very good luck at the Kindle Boards: http://www.kindleboards.com/ . It's very active, and a little cajoling should get you some reviews. As for buzz, well, if I could figure out how to start a genuine buzz I'd be pretty happy...
Genuine Buzz...this may solve your problems...will give you MASSIVE exposure and drive viewers back to the site where your book is sold. Check this out: http://bit.ly/biE3pN
