Molly just walked into Starbucks Coffee to get her mourning Caffene. She ordered the Hot Coco. and sat down cross legged in the comfy chair.

Danyel walked into Starbucks and inhaled deeply. Ah, coffee. He ordered a vanilla latte and sat down in a chair next to a table. He pulled out his laptop and started surfing the web, sipping his latte occasionally.

(( Ok this is the idea behind Gemstones. :)
Natural disaster strikes and one by one a number of kids get sent into a strange new world where magic is common and gemstones are legendary. The number of gemstones are in the single digits and each gemstone holds dangerous powers. When they get there they are approached by Belenos, a demon-like character who tells them if they want to go home they must find a gemstone. Ok, here's this gist of it. At maximum there only can be like 10 characters from "our" world. Otherwise as you know it would just get too crazy. In this world Gemstones are powerful stones that give powers. They are in the single digits. As for the characters I don't know whether they meet up with each other or whether they even know the others are there, it's up to you RPing people. The point is each Gemstone has a specific type that goes with it. Here's the list of ideas for stones. I guess when people make their stones they can choose what they want.
EX:Color-Stone-Type
White-Pearl-Faith
Red-Ruby-Individuality
Blue-Sapphire-Hope
Green-Emerald-Knowledge
Orange-Amber-Reliability
Yellow-Chrysoberyl-Kindness
Purple-Amethyst-Integrity
Black-Opal-Power
Colorless-Diamond-Protection
Type is there for the type of person it's attracted to. The person it would very likely choose would have those qualities and once it has chosen someone it will stick with that person until they die. No one else will be able to use the stone. When chosen it bestows powers (though if you don't know how to use yours it could be a mess. ;> ) It's up to each you what the power is but to reduce "now I'll pound you with this new power I just made up" fights only one power should be chosen.))

Derey sat in her room bandaging her bloody arms. She no longer cried. She was not going to give them the satisfaction

Taylor watched as the last of the buses disappeared around the bend taking all her "friends" with them. She turned around and ignored the two men waiting beside the black Ferrari and walked past them. Taylor had dirty blond hair that reached to her ears. Her eyes were a dark, almost black. She wore a dark green turtle neck and army boots with camouflage pants.
Her father was a famous general in the army, someone many terrorists would love to get a hold on, which made anyone related to him liable accidents, dangerous accidents. So her father really worried that someone would try to kidnap her so round the clock people watched Taylor. It was like being babysat from birth. Taylor scowled as she thought. She would give almost anything to have just a day on her own, free.
Taylor smiled a little. A week ago she had lost it. She'd gone on strike. She wouldn't take the car with her bodyguards or even acknowledge that they were even there.
Taylor's eyes darkened. It was great to act as if you were normal but it was just that, an act. Unfortunately her father had drawn the line at entering a bus or anything that wasn't driven by one of his men. So every day it was a long walk back home. Of course it would be nice if one of her friends would have wanted to walk home with her, but of course they all had things they had to do. That was another downside to being a famous generals daughter. You always had "friends" but you were never sure whether you had friends.
Her father had come up with a plan that had saved the president when a terrorist organization had been hired to assassinate him. That had been a little over thirteen years ago. A year after that had happened she had been born. It had been an accident. Her father had been having enough trouble at the time and then he had found out he was a father.
Really, she barely ever even saw her father with all the business he had to take care of. She saw her mother and the men her father hired to watch her, but rarely her father. Then again Bill and Joe, the men who watched her were pretty cool. They had taught her a lot of cool moves. They had tried their best to be the father that was absent. They had worked with her father and told her some cool stories about him.
Unconsciously Taylor glanced back at the Ferrari behind her. Her stomach dropped. The men in the car that was following her weren't Bill and Joe. . .

Suddenly the table Danyel was sitting at started to shake. What the... He looked down in disbelief as the shaking got more pronounced, then whisked his laptop out of danger right before his latte fell over and spilled its contents everywhere.Danyel jumped to his feet and started wiping up the mess his latte had made, including trying to dry his pants. What could have made the building shake like that? There weren't any train tracks nearby...
((hey, guess what, starbucks people. EARTHQUAKE!!!))
Molly Gasped as Starbucks started to shake. Her hot coco fell off the table with a splash. She jumped up from her table, and turned to see people freaking out. ((OMG ! EARTHQUAKE IN STARBUCKS ! xD ))

((That would suck))Derey had gone runnign and fel tthe earthquack and entered to make sure everyone was ok

Taylor was running full speed clutching her shoulder. They were right behind her. When she had noticed them she had taken off running but one of them had been around the corner and had cut her off. He had grabbed her before she could run. He'd put her in an arm hold with his hand over her mouth. She had bitten his hand, stomped on his foot and had run. He'd still been holding her arm when she'd taken off. It had twisted her arm. Taylor hissed, she was afraid that it might be dislocated. There was a rumble and Taylor tripped, rolling and landing on her feet again.
What was that!?
No she didn't have time to think, she had to run. She took off again. Somewhere far in front of her she caught view of a Starbucks.

Taylor dived to the floor as the black car wizzed by the window. It screeched to a stop. "No. Call 911 or something." The doors to the Ferrari opened. Taylor dashed towards the serving counter.
That's when the tremors started. . .

  That's when the tremors started. . .

Tables crashed to the floor and coffee spilled everywhere. Taylor tripped and hit her head against the serving counter. She got up on her knees and put her hand to her forehead. It was bleeding. She held on to the counter trying to stay steady. The glass from the window shattered and the floor of the Cafe started to crack.

"Thank you. . ." she started to say. She stopped. The cracks had stared to widen and stretch towards them.

((skay))Derey jumped from the wall the fliped to grab the other. The kept repeating this sequence"Sorry faster this way"

Taylor did her best to hold on to the counter. The room darkened and Taylor thought she caught a glimpse of something. Then there was a piercing shreich piercing Taylor's ears, gasping in pain she clutched her ears, letting go of the counter. Only a second before she fell did she realize her mistake. Then there was only black.

There was a fine ache going through her skull as Taylor became aware of her surroundings. She slowly awakened and took a look around her. She was in a forest and there were other people beside her.
