Historical Fiction Books discussion

Sharon Penman is one of my favourite authors, has been for many years, and I waited for her latest release, Devil's Brood. For me, the wait was worth it. I read the book in a week and was sad to see it end, though I'm looking forward to the next book which continues the story of this powerful and dynamic family of history.
If you love a complex family history, power struggles, back-stabbing, friends turning into foes and the tangled knot of devotion, duty and hatred all set in the vibrant medieval world of France and England, than this is the book for you
