Zakiya LadyWings (zladywings) I just finished my review for Marked, and I thought about sharing it with you all. Some of you may want to post your reviews for other people to read. You can do that in theis topic! :)

message 2: by Zakiya (new)

Zakiya LadyWings (zladywings) My "blog," most of which are reviews for books that I have read lately. (starting in May)

♦Jennifer♦ (thejenneral) | 16 comments Ohh, I see that you liked Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire! This along with the sixth book were my favorites in the series. Awesome blog ang great reviews!

message 4: by Zakiya (new)

Zakiya LadyWings (zladywings) Thanks, Jennifer! I love the HP series. My favorites were/are Half-Blood Prince and Deathly Hallows.

message 5: by ♦Jennifer♦ (new)

♦Jennifer♦ (thejenneral) | 16 comments No problem! Both of those books made me cry at one point or the other! Dumbledoor's death and funeral were just too much. I'm just sad that there won't be any more books coming out. It was always fun anticipating what the next one was going to have in it.

message 6: by Zakiya (new)

Zakiya LadyWings (zladywings) I know right! Have you read The Tales of Beedle the Bard? It's the companion of the series. :)

message 7: by ♦Jennifer♦ (new)

♦Jennifer♦ (thejenneral) | 16 comments Yeah, I loved that. It added more of a dimension to the series. It was referenced so may time in the books, and it was nice to see all of the stories in it. I've heard that J.K. is in the process of writing something else, but that it's not gonna be anything like HP.

message 8: by [deleted user] (new)

I haven't been able to get my hands on The Tales of Beedle the Bard? Someday, Sigh. So many many wonderful books! =)

message 9: by Zakiya (new)

Zakiya LadyWings (zladywings) Yes, I heard that as well, Jennifer. I think it will be pretty good though.

Lyss: Yes, def a bunch of wonderful books! But I'm glad that there are a lot of good books in the world. They occupy my time amazingly. :)

message 10: by [deleted user] (new)

And for life. *Grins*

message 11: by Kate (new)

Zakiya LadyWings (zladywings) Yes, boks. But I was thinking to get food and pay the bills... Lol :)

message 17: by Kate (new)

Kate (katemreads) | 94 comments No unfortunatly you don't get paid for reviews. Unless it's in the form of a virtual hug! The website is the Read After Your Bedtime Ning one.

message 31: by Zakiya (new)

Zakiya LadyWings (zladywings) LOL! Same here though. There was a famous music quote we talked about in Chorus this year, and the person said that music was their refuge. I guess books are ours. :D

message 41: by Zakiya (new)

Zakiya LadyWings (zladywings) Okay so Lyss, I'm glad you commmented on this or I never would have seen it. I think she's talking about RA though.

Heather: I'm reading it right now. Not right now but I'm in the middle of it :)

Done with the Host yet? How far are you?

message 45: by Zakiya (new)

Zakiya LadyWings (zladywings) Page 528. You?

message 46: by Heather (new)

Heather (nickyblue7) | 486 comments what do u think of it so far? and is the host good? i havent gotten to read it yet since when i put it on hold at one of the libraries by me last summer and they canceled the hold so i couldnt read it

message 47: by Zakiya (new)

Zakiya LadyWings (zladywings) Oh okay. Well I really like it. It's different from Twilight series, of course. So haters of Twilight should maybe give it a try. It's a really good book so far. They have rated it Adult, but so far to me, it doesn't seem anything like Adult--more like YA.

message 48: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm loving it as well. The ending was very good. I can't wait for the sequels to come outs. I would recommend this book to someone. But I am usually an oddity when it comes to liking and disliking books.

message 49: by Zakiya (new)

Zakiya LadyWings (zladywings) Am on page 606! So close, trying to read and type at the same time. It's sort of working.. :)

message 50: by Jen (new)

Jen (In the Closet With a Bibliophile) (Jen_thebibliophile) | 133 comments No, It's Adult. It's not the Adult content that makes a book "Adult", its the way it's written and the language used. Usually it's not as easy of a read and the words they use are bigger and you need to have a larger vocabulary to understand.

Z this says good things about you if you have no problem. :D

@Heather - I loved the Host. I read it 3 times. First time whilst I was stuck in Albania waiting on the lovely United States immigration with my husband. Let me tell you, in a village filled with sheep it was my life saver!
