TWILIGHT HATERS discussion

Dear People Reading This,

As you can tell I'm one of thoes special people who abosolutely HATE Twilight. I can't stand it! All my friends(except Mallory) encouraged me to read that dreadful book and told me it was the best book in the world. Now I loathe it. Join in my loathing and tell me how much YOU hate Twilight(or other books you loathe)

I don't really know. Twilight is somewhat lame compared to some books I have read. And I definitely don't appreciate what Stephenie Meyers is doing to the reputation of vampires. -_- (By the way. I am a friend of Mal's! Hey! :D)

At first I kind of enjoyed the book, but then when I thought about it, I realized it is kind of a lame book. And I also, along with Elise don't like the way Stephanie Meyer is destroying the reputaion of vampires.

Haha, I'm one of the specials too Khloe! Go us! I don't mind the plot line - vampires aren't real, so who cares if she messes 'em up, right? But her dialogue - can anyone say bor-ing? And how about them character descriptions? Bella - she has brown hair. That's about all I get from the books. But Edward, oh Edward...we hear sooooo much about his flippin' hair and his gorgeous eyes and his perfect chest and hi velvet voice that you start to wonder if everyone has those...ya know?

well it's obviously a chick flick! But I will have to read breaking dawn. But the only reason why I'm interested in the books is to see if she turns into a vampire. But that's it. -_-

I respect how you feel towards "Twilight" but really, this is a place to complain about the book. Not to tell how great it is(which it really isn't). I mean some people can't face the fact that some people don't like "Twilight".

I know, I just really wanted to say it....I'll complain now!!

Actually, I hated New Moon. It was the first book in the series I read......It took me like, two weeks to finish it. Other than that, I really like the series.

Yeah, New moon was probably the worst of the trilogy.

Seriously...why join the group if the words 'TWILIGHT HATERS' are in capital, in the title and you can't deal with it? Honestly, it's pathetic and embaressing. I understand that we all have our own opinions and crap, but: UGH! When you can't deal with the fact that there might possibly be the slight chance of someone maybe not totally loving YOUR favorite book, EVER (And I quote: 'IT'S THE BEST BOOK EVER!!!!!!!!'), then you need to go get help or SOMETHING. 'That is all...'

Back off Mal! If people who like Twilight want to join then let them! this IS a public group and they can like Twilight aswell as dislike it aswell! Every book is the same, There are good parts about it and there are bad parts about it. Have YOU ever read a book that's just perfect? I don't think so.

Stop arguing people! No one is gaining anthing from rading each other out! We are here to complain about BOOKS not other people!

Ok I read twilight when my little sister told me it was the worst book she ever read. 'Edwards beautiful' she told me. 'Edwards pretty' She told me those would be the only words I read. She was pretty much right. How many ways can Meyers say that Edwards goodlooking in one novel?! I think she pounded it into our heads enough!

Despite a lack of solid plot and flimsy characters, my least favorite part of this book is the picture it paints into the readers head. Romance IS NOT LIKE THAT. IT paints an unrealistic standard that will never be met. At first I felt like S*** because I wanted someone to care about me that much. Thankfully, my sister slapped me to my senses. Yuck.

I can agree with that.......I think we know what Edward looks like.....

She really drolls on with her story and never really gets to the point.

I totally agree with you Gemma!! You are so right! At first I was like Edward is so awesome! Then he was like a jerk to Bella just cause he didn't want to hurt her. A Bella being the idiot she is just wants him that much more. And Edward tries to act all mysterious with the "I'm dangerous" act. Pssh ya right! The only thing dangerous about you is your stupidity!!

Its just too bad that Bella didnt' hit a tree or something when Edward is carrying her on his back through the forest. Then it would have made it all the better!

That's why I refuse to, and will never ever read Twilight or any of that series. But I've heard that Host is a lot better. I'm going to read that one.

Okay, I don't completely hate twilight. I do find the characters annoying though, sometimes. Bella is much too self-concious for me.

yep! I agree. and no, I haven't read the host but if you ever read "The aliens that eat your brain." Then you've read the host.

I will read Host, whether you like it or not.

Ya hopefully The Host will be better than Twilight.

soooooooooooo Laruel does that mean you hate me? cuz i love twilight and im an obess fan but there are some books that i dislike like New Moon when Edward left (I LOVE EDWARD!!!!!! and they don't say he flips his hair. that would be sooo retard. the actor does that!!!!!!!! the actor is't edward though!!! ) anyway I also hate the character Jacob because he kissed Bella!!!!!!!!

Seriously. If you can read Twilight, why can't you read a title? Two words at that? How long did it take all of you to read Twilight? A year?

best book in the world my eye. and hot? edward? you need to wake up and look at the books there rachel.

*rolls eyes, yet again* twilight is so the best book in the world! and yes Edward is totally hot, and 2 almost ALL of the twilight lovers groups (and theres like more than 10 of those groups) have like 20-30 people while, you guys (aka the only twilight haters group on goodreads has about 15 real haters in your group) so more people like twilight than hate it and they have reason to!
