It seems that a couple of amazingly brave people had the same idea.
Here is a hugely entertaining new blog that is reportedly causing great consternation on the pirate site in question

Looks like find a pirate has had a success. Check out the link Rowena posted above and read about VampireGirl then look here - http://www.4shared.com/u/ppqpszgg/fc9...
How extraordinary!
Thank you for sharing this absolutely gobsmacking link.

I am sure there are a great many other evil-doers (as President George W Bush would say) who think of their illegal activities as "work" that they have a right to pursue.
VampireGirl must feel that she has a right to rip off the publishing industry. One wonders why she hasn't deleted her account to remove the apparent proof that she appears to have 50 Downloads.
I've never seen such testicular fortitude!

I wondered why her account wasn't deleted and my guess is she's just changed her settings so the files don't show. But now her files won't show up in a search and anyone who had bookmarked her folder will be led to the pirate the pirate blog and know that piracy is not being ignored. On a totally different topic I love your use of words. "testicular fortitude", lol. That really brought a smile to my face, especially since I just read 'Forced Mate' this week. I can't wait for Amazon to send me the rest of your books. Normally this isn't a genre I'm drawn too but I think I've read so much of the same genre's the last few years that it was very refreshing to try something new (to me anyway).
I can only assume that she is either crazy like a fox, or does not understand the meaning of "copyright" and has not read the 4shared TOS.
To whit 4shared has always been strongly against copyright infringement. You can distribute, display and share original works only if you are a copyright owner of holder. Uploading a file to 4shared you agree that it no way violates copyright law otherwise you may bear public, civil or criminal responsibility.
Thank you for your very generous words about Forced Mate. I appreciate your kindness more than you can imagine.

Ah, ha!
VampireGirl now is advertising 0 (zero) downloads. I'm sure someone took a screen capture before posting to the various notification sites and "outing" her.
It does amuse me how often a Captcha is appropriate. I just clicked a "Report Abuse" link on 4shared (purely to see what would happen) and my two mystery words were
"cf" and "kindled".
Is that ironic or what?

Moral dilemma.

One might suspect that freebiesave (owner) is also Max who sends the emails, who is probably Max Chitty.... and Max Angel.
When 4,648 illegal downloaders in a downloaders (for pay) club post their contact information on the web for all to see, what should one do with it?

Check out Outrider's point.
http://trueslant.com/fpaulwilson/2010...
He suggests that if pirates' views on copyright are perceived to be the majority view, the law will change.
Outrider also suggests that there is no way to bring home to a generation what piracy feels like.
I suggest that there is a way.
There is outrage whenever Facebook fouls up and violates users' privacy.
I think it would be interesting for someone well insured or with legal cover (a major newspaper, for instance) were to publish a few pages from a pirate site with full and proper attribution.
How about one of the top pirates' release list? One cannot copyright a list.
Best wishes,
Rowena Cherry
