I read this one last year. Loved it. I like the complex storyline and how Rae combined faery, vampire, and werewolf, and did it so well. This story has a definitely cinematic appeal.

Ok. I'm going to download the book tonight and start reading. I will admit that I read a sample on my kindle a long time ago and wasn't thrilled. I think I was put off by the hero killing his meals :). I'm intrigued by all the praise and all the hype about the new installment, so I will give it a try.
Jace is definitely an antihero. It was pretty brave of Rae to make him have some unsympathetic traits.
OK Lady Danielle, You have to help me out. This book is starting off incredibly slow for me. When does it pick up....I feel like I have been reading FOREVER and they havn't even met yet!
Hmm. Hang in there. I think Ariya comes through to the everyday world fairly soon. Where are you as far as the scenes?
Spoiler Alert******The fairy is in a desert area...Arizona? Jace just finished *ahem* eating and dumped his problem (body) for some chick named Angel.

Ok Lady Danielle. I doen't know if I can do it. *****SPOILER****** When Aziyah finds him on the couch with that chick bumping uglies? That was a deal breaker for me. I don't know if I can get past this guy. I think she is too good and he is too bad. I don't know why this book is so hard for me. This is usually right up my alley. huh
I have committed to 5 min. a day. I have already read three books since I downloaded this one. Still a hard read for me. :(
I'm sorry to hear that, Troysmom. Maybe you need to put it down until you're ready to read it. I have to do that at times.
I finshed the book. Didn't like it much! I wrote my review of it on the book's site.@ Troysmom and Devsa. I actually liked the Jace scene of him "bumping uglies" with that chick on the couch! But I'm wierd!
However the book definetly dragged along. I didn't care if the characters lived or died... and I usually love even the worst most self absorbed characters in the Urban fantasy world.
I have my kindle on my android phone. Man I read EVERYWHERE now. That is the best thing about my phone. Its my travel library!
I gave up reading it....I have moved on to Graceling.....I started reading it because of your review Lady Danielle. It is SOOOOOO good! Now thats my kinda Kick A** Heroine!!!
Heya! Thanks to all the folks that checked out A Kiss of Ashen Twilight. Sorry it wasn't to your liking. If you like, pop me a message with your email addys and I'll send ya a freebie book (Before Dawn Breaks, a contemporary romantic suspense that is indeed IR ;-)) as a big ol thanks for at least buying a copy and checking it out. :-) Hopefully BDB will be a little more enjoyable for you. Deva, I know you haven't read it yet but send me your email addy also and I'll send ya the book. Let me know if you have a format preference because I can make it any format for your readers and/or phones *huggs her Calibre program*.
If anyone wants to venture into the second book, let me know in the email and I'll toss in an ebook of Within the Shadows of Mortals. It's a little more action packed and moves faster than the first. The romance starts right off buuuuuut there's still a bit of history and descriptions in there (sowy, the darn story just came out that way ;-)).
Anywho, thanks again and I'll slink right out of the thread so as not to bother you guys. :-)
*Slinks*
Just replied. :-)Sounds good, Deva!
I know what you mean. The books that I can't transfer to my phone (adobe editions grr) are tough to read because it's not comfy reading at the computer. I wish e-readers were more affordable but I think they may be headed that way (hopefully) soon as they continue to gain popularity. It'd sure be nice to read on a portable book size screen and be able to carry my ebook library around though! :-)
