good one Lani, Love itI've always thought the painting The Accolade was romantic also. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Accolade
I realize it not romantic in the same way as The Kiss but still...
Don't feel bad, Pamela. I can't remember where I pin things too. Just this morning I had to do a general search of the whole site to find my own pin. LOL!
I always have trouble posting pics on GR but some of my fave romantic paintings are by Jean-Honore Fragonard, a painter who worked around the French Revolution period. Everyone is wearing white wigs, and they show lovers in beautiful gardens. So lovely.

So romantic!

Oh, Rachel, THANK YOU!!! God, I love these!
Hero and Leander's story doesn't have an HEA, but I love this painting. Has a sort of haunting beauty to it.

Oh, yes, this is so gorgeous. Anything mythological works for me!
Read a sweet book and now have the warm and fuzzies. Had to seek out some romantical art...
Huguenot lovers on St. Bartholomew's Day

The Black Brunswicker

The Lovers (I think this is my favorite...)

Love the middle one a lot, Rachel. It's as if she's saying, "Don't go."

"Kiss 4" by Mark Matzke
I was drawn to this image at a Ren Fest and was kicking myself later for not getting it. When we went back a few years later, I was both surprised and pleased to see the artist still had a booth there, and the image was still available. Would have loved to purchase a large copy of it, but had to settle for a cheaper and more affordable 5x8 size.
