When I picked this off the library shelf I thought, from the cover, it was going to be more of a romance. The book had a lot more information in it than I expected. (Sigh!) Another case of not judging a book by its cover.
I agree that it is a worthwhile book told in an engaging way. BUT not a romance.

Raised a vegetarian, Weaver begins to develop health problems in her thirties. A physician recommends that she add meat to her diet, thus beginning her adventures in a carnivorous world. Weaver plumbs serious issues, such as factory farming and global warming, along with more light-hearted topics (like her obsession with cowboy ranchers) in a perfect blend of seriousness and wit.
