Oh my god. I got my Highlights at eleven. But for my birthday this year which was yesterday, I dyed my whole bang and the sides of my hair from my face Blue and Green. But the mixed and somehow they made Black, purple, teal and many others. and my hair being blonde I woke up with bangs in my face and they were blue. HOW AWESOME IS THAT?!

I kinda got sick of the characters. Didn't feel like they were people.

same. im not quite sure what it was but it didnt feel like i could connect with them

It's a LITTLE too related to the FIRST BOOK of Percy Jackson, like, (view spoiler)[When Carter and Sadie were about to banish Set, the god of evil, Sadie saw something Carter didn't. Sadie saw a snake of Apophis, and when Carter didn't see it, she threw the Feather of Truth away, and it seperated into ... dust? And it made the snake visible. Then Face of Horror turns out to be the REAL bad guy, and tries to kill Sadie. Instead, he gets killed by Carter. BLA BLAB LAB BLAH. (hide spoiler)]

How is that related to The Lightning Thief? I only saw one reference in the book to the olympians, and that was just a one of joke.

Innit'? It's like the plot. You see, Set, is the SUPPOSED character of EVIL. INSTEAD, APOPHIS is.

Like, Hades, and Kronos. I liked how they beat up Set first, though. :D

I just started this one. I like it so far, but I'm not far enough in to make a full opinion. I do like the being-recorded type of format, that's a bit different.

I didn't like the format, because it makes me feel like it will end up okay no matter what since they still need to record it in past tense.

Yeah, but most narration is in present tense, so you keep a little bit more tension.

Now that I look at the Kane Chronicles, and the newest version of the PJ series... I think the last 5 books were a little... Short? Simple? It just didn't satisfy me like it did when I read it 100 times...

yeah, with the earlier books of PJ i read them at least 3 times, but after i read the kane chronicals, i didnt want to read them again and again...

Ok...now I'm cross...WHY does the bad guy's birthday have to be the same as mine?! It's bad enough my birthday counts as a 'Demon Day' ...grr...
