I heard it wasn't that great... I didn't want to see it because of that. Apparently, it didn't follow the story at all.

*sigh* sorcerer's stone, chamber of secrets. it didn't follow the book that well: they were like 16, the pearls were gained on the journey, not by an underwater lady, Riptide was a click pen, not a cap pen (really annoying), and Annabeth had brown hair.

They didn't even mention that Luke was being controlled by Kronos! That was a big part. They also forgot the matress store part and Grover was not his hippie-looking self. He was played by an african-american.

That really annoys me, because they had to have "mixed races" in the movie, or else people would get mad... like in Twilight- Laurent is a VAMPIRE, so WHY is he African-American? eerg..

It's still a good movie. You should see it. I think it's in the dollar theatre.

Nevermind. Near me there's a theatre that shows older movies for a dollar. I meant it's out on DVD. Get it from Redox or Blockbuster. We just rented it from Netflix

Netflix is like 8.99 a month, movies you just get as many as you want (though one at a time).

i really enjoyed the movie! but the age difference was a real big problem! they look way to old! and like annabeth looked nothing like what she was described in the book...

I think of it more as a companion to the series, rather than a movie adaption. I mean, yeah it was cool (Olympus was awesome) but, what on earth are Persephone's pearls? I hope the Sea of Monsters is... better. :)

UGH I didn't like it as much because the plot was so amazingly different than the book! The movie itself was good, but i was expecting something so much different! The goal was to find the pearls, and everything. Plus they made Persephone really sexual. Sigh.

*Roar of a Waterfall* ... that's what the movie was... but wait, it wasn't good enough to be a waterfall! First of all, Ms. Dodds, was a math teacher, not english. Second, Percy took Annabeth and Grover back to the living world. He did not take his mother for Grover.

Great book+Bad Movie= Disappointed me.

There's going to be a sequel ...
