Serious Overload of Series...What a great concept. Kudos to the originator (Steph?).Just getting started browsing through everything. I have limited internet access so it will take me awhile to get caught up, though.

Hi everyone! I'm Lily, 25, from Portugal *waves* I've been reading fantasy books most of my life, and recently stumbled upon urban fantasy (courtesy of Briggs' Mercy Thompson series!), and fell completely in love with the genre. From there I jumped to PNR, but that's a whole other story! I'm always looking for good recs :)
Hi all! Excited to find this group I love PNR and UF and am also a series addict :) Looking forward to finding some new series to add to my collection!
Hello, I'm Wan. Just joined. I didn't realized that I have the SOS syndrome until I inventoried my (read and TBR) books. The result...I'm one of you, I guess. Oh well. :-)
Welcome (again), Wan. You are definitely among friends. We all share a serious series addiction and love of all things paranormal. :)
Hey Everyone! My name is Megan- I just joined the group.Nice to know I'm not the only one out there that is completly addicted to UF and PNR series! Looking forward to some reccomendations! :)
Welcome to the group, Inga & mauve1976! We're happy to have you here. We are all addicted to PNR/UF serials and have a slight addiction to challenges as well. Hope you both will be happy buzzin' around the group. :)
Hello, my name is Kathryn. It's been 20 minutes since I finished my last series. Already I'm jonesing for my next fix. I swear, by the last chapter of the last book in a series, I get a serious case of separation anxiety. I can't even tell you my favorite series; as it's usually the one I'm currently reading. That being said, I love the Children of the Sea, by Virginia Kantra; a well-written, organic, viscerally engaging series. I can't help but pine for the heroes of Immortals After Dark, *shiver* by Kresley Cole. But wait! How can I forget the mystery, wrapped in a conundrum that is Barrons from the Fever series by Karen Marie Moning? And well, her Highland series... I think you understand, yes? Of course, how can I fail to mention Katie MacAlister's Dark Ones or her Dragons? Then there is Emma Holly's vampires and shape shifters. Gosh, and I'd feel guilty if I didn't mention Love at Stake by Kerrelyn Sparks or... I guess I'll just have to live with the guilt, huh?
And, oh-by they way... I'm writing my debut PNR novel. I'm looking for a critique group, any volunteers?
I know, I know... Deep cleansing breaths. I just finished Shayla Black's free eBook Fated... Perhaps my next series just found me.
Welcome to the group, Kathryn! You are not alone in your love of series, that's for sure. I hope you enjoy the group. And, best of luck with your novel!
My name is Karen, and man, talk about Serious Overload. I'm pretty addicted to fantasy in general, but what great fantasy authors don't have series? Not many.Series that I've actually finished? Not many. Because I get so distracted by all the different authors out there, whether non-fiction, fiction or fantasy. I've read J.R.R. Tolkien's The Hobbit and finished all of Lord of the Rings, I've read 1-4 of J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series. I've also started Christopher Paolini's Eragon series, which I love. I've started Anthony Pier's Xanth series, which is something like 25 books long?
My favorite author, though, is Chris Wooding, and I still have to plow through his 4 series: A Braided Path, The Broken Sky, Malice and Tales of the Ketty Jay.
Then there are the books that I hear are amazing and I'm determined to get through! Though I might die of old age in the process. I have to try to take on Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn series, George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series, Garth Nix's Abhorsen Trilogy, Anne McCaffrey's The Dragonriders of Pern series, and Brian Jacques's Redwall series. And do I even have to mention trying to take on the very overwhelming commitment of Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series?
Overloaded to the max! But loving it. This is definitely the group for me.
