Ok, you almost had me saying NOT! Because MY team *Go Steelers!!* wasn't there, but I'll give ya a pass since you left the BONUS up to us. :) I'll most likely join the footy fun as well, gotta (REALLY gotta) get my list organized first and see what's what. I'll be back. :)GREAT idea, Valorie! YES, I'm ready for some FOOTBALL!! :D
if someone wants a bonus - Detroit Lions - a book featuring someone who works with animals (i.e. vet; or an animal plays a significant role)
Well, I want to do this one...but because it will be only for 3 months, most likely I'll only do a few of the categories...

I can't believe I forgot about the Steelers!! Can't wait to see what you come up with for them!
Delicious Dee the book slut wrote: "if someone wants a bonus - Detroit Lions - a book featuring someone who works with animals (i.e. vet; or an animal plays a significant role)"Good idea Dee!
someone who does some sort of manual labor/ works with his hands...gardener, factory worker...Valorie wrote: "Steph wrote: "Ok, you almost had me saying NOT! Yeah, Valorie, SHAME! Nah, J/K! :) Good one, Dee. How 'bout a black, red , blue and/or gold/yellow cover, setting in PA, SUPA BOWL CHAMPS! = book that's won an award?? It's late/early and my brain feels like fried green tomatoes. LOL! I'll think on it and come up with something. Nite! :)
D.G. wrote: "Well, I want to do this one...but because it will be only for 3 months, most likely I'll only do a few of the categories..."No problem DG! Do as many as you like!
ohh, i like book that has won an award...I have a link somewhere of all the various awards that Goodreads trackshttp://www.goodreads.com/award?sort=m...
I love football and couldn't resist this challenge :) I may not be able to complete all of them due to all of the other challenges that I am in, but I'll do as many as I can. Great challenge Valorie!
Steelers could also be something with fae--they do have a small issue with cold iron. :)And how 'bout my Bears? Something with a BARE man on the cover...
Valerie I LOVE THIS ONE!! ... Oh I am so in for this one, can't wait for my Steeler to kick some butt again this year ;0) I need to pick my books but I'll also add a bonus for the STEELERS ~ a thief as main character or trying to catch a thief (if you think it should be someone working in a steel plant let me know ... the other is a bit of play on the word)
Valorie, I'm so happy that you went ahead and started this challenge.:) I am for sure in but unsure how many books yet.I know that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers haven't been on their game lately but their still my home town team and I support them no matter what. I was thinking about reading a book with pirates but we already have that for Oakland Raiders. Any suggestions?
the Bucs seem to be the perenial runner-up type scenario...so maybe a book that was a second choice, or a second rec...something like that
a book that is second in a series...a book about the bridesmaid, not the bride
Danielle wrote: "Dee, that's so sad but true lol"
Delicious Dee the book slut wrote: "a book that is second in a series...a book about the bridesmaid, not the bride

I gotcha, good ideas thanks :)
Valorie wrote: "You can make changes as needed."Do you mean by this that you can substitute a team? So let's say that Danielle would like to use the Bucs as her 'pirate' team...would that be allowed?
:)
D.G. wrote: "Valorie wrote: "You can make changes as needed."Do you mean by this that you can substitute a team? So let's say that Danielle would like to use the Bucs as her 'pirate' team...would that be all..."
Sure I'll allow it, if you would like to replace a team with a different team that will be ok.

Love that idea Lulu!! Cover with a naked man, Yum!
Sounds like a fun challenge! This Cowboys fan is definitely ready for some football. I am married to a Steelers fan which makes for some very interesting Sundays around here! :-)Will post books tomorrow.

Oh and a thief, good one, Elise. :)
If I decide to 'tackle' this challenge (pun intended) i will have to say that I inadvertently read the first 'bonus' book today.Pittsburgh Steelers: First Lady by Susan Elizabeth Phillips (8/1) - The hero claims to be a steelworker from Pittsburgh for most of the book.
LOL I am tempted to do this just because my bf is a big sports nut! I posted it on his facebook even though he isn't a romance reader because I thought he might get a kick out of it. :-P
Does anyone have ideas for Colorado books? That one is kind of stumping me at the moment. Will post my tentative reading list later today...
Judithe, look at the data base - I know I put one in there but don't remember which book. I'll have to find another one unless it was one of a series - find it & let me know what it is, would 'ya, pretty please.
OK!! I can't believe I forgot! And one of my TBR's is on it!So here's a couple for Colorado:
Kitty and the Midnight Hour
Diamond in the Ruff
Finding Mr. Right

Steph, then you probably have the same dilemmas as we do. When the Steelers and Cowboys play at the same time, who gets the big screen? Which colors will the kids wear? :-) It's really difficult when they play each other, because one of us is going to be really upset and not speak to the other one for hours. Sad, but true!
