Fantasy pitches here please!

Ok...no one else is pitching any ideas so why don't I start off? Haha

here's one: the government of the United States realized something very important the other day. They realized that, eventually, they wouldn't be on top. They wouldn't be the most powerful country in the world, have the best weapons, or the best technology. It's year 2100 and the world is about to launch into a world war. The United States, being the tactful, impulsive people that they are, decide that they need spies, but not just spies, they need spies that people would never think were spies. They need children.

The US Government creates a mandatory test for all the children from thirteen to seventeen living in the United States. The ones that pass this extrodinarily hard exam, the fitness test, and the deductive reasoning test, then the government will "offer" them a once and a life oppertunity of working for their country. How could they turn something like that down?...they can't.

Eh, I've been really inactive in a lot of groups lately, so I'm going to try and be more active, starting with a couple of pitches.

Pitch: The world is only paid through blood, coins and metals are no longer a strong foundation for currency, so what you live off of is entirely your blood. The food and drink you buy is through your blood, depending on your blood type will determine how wealthy you are, the rarest being a rare type of blood known as pale blood. As blood began to intermingle amongst people and pass from hand to hand they began to be cursed or in some others minds, blessed, and held great strength and supernatural power. Now it's a struggle from the highest nobility, to the lowliest beggar of who has the best blood.

A little darker than what I usually come up with, but that's all I can think of tossing out at the moment.

Oh boy, that sounds REALLY scary.

Yeah... I've been in a dreary mood oddly enough... I'll toss something lighter out there later.

Are you planning to RP in this group. As far as I know no one else other than you and me have commented in a long while.

I'm not too sure. I need a good spark of an idea to get a good idea forming for an rp in mind. Then I can help build it from there, but if I don't have a good background setting to work with I have troubles...

Me too, I really hate repetitive RP's. How about this, it's called Redemption. A group of inmates, who have done various crimes are offered complete wipe aways of the crimes from their records if they are able to complete one mission. Each of these people has their own sharp specialty and are the best of their kind. What they don't see coming is the horrors that lie within this mission. Strange things are happening. They get sent to an island where a group of researchers contact with the outside world was cut off 2 weeks ago and as the new arrivals study building and what's inside only more questions are brought up. Then, when they are starting to understand just just what terrible things happened on the islan they get cut off from the outside world, and I don't mean their radio connections stop working, I mean no one is answering from the other side anymore.

Sounds like shudder island or midwinter. I'll do it though if you can get enough people to rp as well.

I hope it's not like Shutter Island, oh boy I had a friend of mine tell me a bit about that book and I was freaked out. I'll try to gather people. See if you can find anyone interested too. How many people do you think there should be? I'd love to be a sort of narrator for it if this works. I think all the best RP's have to have a narrator to keep things on track and give other important details or RP's just wont get anywhere, wont be as much fun either.

As to the people I think like 6-8 would be fun. What do you think? More or less?

I've got one person who is totally on board. I'm thinking of starting it on a different RP group. Is that okay with you? I'll tell you the name. It's called The World I Want to Create *Roleplaying* .
