I personally never read it. Have you? If so, what did you think?

Unless my library gets a copy- probably not. It's like 12 bucks for a paperback copy- and there's like, not very far over 200 pages in it... its crazy i tell you! lolz

message 3: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid I read it and I liked it. It was a pretty easy read, light and fluffy, but still enjoyable.

message 4: by RedPath, The worst Mod. EVER. (new)

RedPath | 850 comments Mod
Really? It has to do with Pride and Prejudice, no?

And I here that there's a sequel.

message 5: by RedPath, The worst Mod. EVER. (new)

Coming out, anyway.

message 6: by Ingrid (last edited Dec 01, 2010 03:57PM) (new)

Ingrid Yes, well, I don't know how much I should say. You might want to read it in the future. I will say this much anyway. It is about a woman with an addiction to Jane Austen, especially P&P. She goes to a resort to, hopefully, end her obsession. The resort is in the 1800 style. Empire dresses, old manners, etc. That is all I will say.

This was a great read. Any fan of romance (and Shannon) will like it.

Ahaha sounds good to me!

message 9: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid And really, who doesn't like romance and Shannon?

Okay, so I read Austenland. It was like way sexy/romancey. I should have waited a while. I would at least wait till 16. It's really more of an adult book.

Hannah | 2744 comments Mod
It was a cool idea, and good though

nontheless

depends on the readers. I think I've read some pretty...uh, descriptive books that are marked for teens.

message 14: by Mandy (new)

Mandy Harmon (mandyharmon) I liked it, but I didn't love it. For some reason, I didn't like the guy she ended up with. He irked me at first and I had trouble getting used to him. But the plot premise was good.

Hannah | 2744 comments Mod
yeah i thought it was okay. Mr. Nobley right? I forget. U know she is writing a sequel about another lady?

message 16: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid Yes, she is writing Midnight in Austenland. It comes out in maybe, five months? I think.

message 17: by Mandy (new)

Mandy Harmon (mandyharmon) Yeah, I just found that out two days ago. =) I hope it'll be good.

message 18: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid I seriously can't wait for it to come out. Eek. I love it whenever she writes anything. Whether I like the book or not, I like the thrill of knowing she is writing something.

I'm excited but not SUPER EXCITED, jumping up and down. I enjoyed Austenland a bit. but this sounds good. though not much has been revealed except the title.

message 20: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid I haven't jumped up and down yet, just excited. I'll certainly be reading it soon after it comes out.

message 21: by Katerina (new)

Katerina (klymene) | 1209 comments *chokes on her drink* sequel?! That went right over my head. OMG. I am way behind

We don't have proof....yet

message 23: by Hannah, Bek and Red are depressing: BEST mod ever. (new)

Hannah | 2744 comments Mod
Oops. never mind. We do. She's finished writing it..I think.

message 24: by Katerina (new)

Katerina (klymene) | 1209 comments And it still isn't published?

message 25: by Emily (new)

Emily Not yet. It's in the final stages before publishing.

message 26: by Katerina (new)

Katerina (klymene) | 1209 comments what else is there, besides editting?

message 27: by Hannah, Bek and Red are depressing: BEST mod ever. (new)

Hannah | 2744 comments Mod
copy-editting. hehe

they have to send to and editor. fix things. review it a bunch of times. etc...

message 28: by Hannah, Bek and Red are depressing: BEST mod ever. (new)

message 29: by Katerina (new)

Katerina (klymene) | 1209 comments ugh. i will never been an author

message 30: by Hannah, Bek and Red are depressing: BEST mod ever. (new)

Hannah | 2744 comments Mod
Why? Do you want to? I want to. :D

message 31: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid I think it would be interesting, but I don't think my book will ever get published. I'll just enjoy writing it!

message 32: by Katerina (new)

Katerina (klymene) | 1209 comments I wanted to be an author, until I kept getting bad grades on my essays and my stories were never finished. Then I quit. Plus, it doesn't make good money, unless you are famous

message 33: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid You don't become an author cause you want money. No way! You become an author cause you love writing and cause the stories invade your brain until you write them down. Even after they are written down, they still never give you peace.

message 34: by Katerina (new)

Katerina (klymene) | 1209 comments But I fail at writing anyways.

message 35: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid I suck at it, I just love it so much. I would never be able to stop writing. I would either go insane or die.

message 36: by Katerina (new)

Katerina (klymene) | 1209 comments I have stories, but I can never write them down. I tried once, but I never figured out how to ended it and I started the story in the middle of the whole story.

message 37: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid That's fine too. Sometimes, I just write a certain scene from a story. I just feel the need to. It is weird.

message 38: by Katerina (new)

Katerina (klymene) | 1209 comments I write from my dreams. Like Setphanie Meyers. But I hate her books

message 39: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid Nyk nyk bung. I didn't like Twilight. I did, however, like The Host. The Host was decent.

message 40: by Katerina (new)

Katerina (klymene) | 1209 comments the preview freaked me out. You know, the book flap thing. I was really scared by Gone

message 41: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid I haven't heard of Gone. The Host wasn't creepy or anything. It was actually really good. I was surprised. I think Stephanie Meyers really improve in the years between Twilight and The Host.

message 42: by Katerina (new)

Katerina (klymene) | 1209 comments I might have to try that book then. But I'm going through an anti-reading phase right now...

message 43: by Emily (last edited Apr 07, 2011 04:18PM) (new)

Emily *gasp* Anti-reading phase! I hate it when I have those (which aren't often...)

Yeah, The Host is definitely better than Twilight. Bella is so darn annoying.

message 44: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid Wanda was a delightful narrator. I think. Bella... Not so much. Blech.

message 45: by Katerina (new)

Katerina (klymene) | 1209 comments Emily wrote: "*gasp* Anti-reading phase! I hate it when I have those (which aren't often...)

Yeah, it's the end of the quarter and my grades are low. I don't have any time. And I don't know what to read.

message 46: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid Eek. I feel sorry for you. That is never ever fun.

message 47: by Hannah, Bek and Red are depressing: BEST mod ever. (new)

Hannah | 2744 comments Mod
:( Same here

message 48: by Katerina (new)

Katerina (klymene) | 1209 comments Well... what's your opinion of low?
And my grades are low mainly because I'm always on Goodreads, my new favorite site...

message 49: by Emily (new)

Emily :D I can relate to the goodreads part.

message 50: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid So can I... I've never been so active on this site.
