This is where I was hoping we could all tell our views on abortion (like the dating topic, lol) and discuss it :)

In my personal opinion abortion, unless for a very rare occasion when it will absolutely kill the mother to keep the baby (and say she has a husband and/or kids that she needs to consider), abortion is murder. It makes me really sad how you can go to jail for shooting a dog but if you get an abortion and kill a human being that you can just walk away free. And it also makes me sad how pro-choice people call the baby a fetus and act like it is not as human in the womb as it would be out. They act like it doesn't have as much life in the womb . . . and I just do not get that. It's a precious baby and they're killing it, and that makes me really sad.

I agree with you, mostly.
The thing about the exception, though - there never is a way to know for sure. It's all assumption. It might be based in some very good reasons that are humanly undeniable, but there's never a case where we can know for sure. And even if we had that absolution where it would, without a doubt, kill the mother the way they think - God can work a miracle.

But yes, I totally agree otherwise. What makes abortion ok, but the murder of a pregnant woman is 2 murders?

"but if you get an abortion and kill a human being that you can just walk away free"

Because just like in Nazi Germany and early America (with blacks and Indians), people are taught that they're not human. It's very sad.

Wow, Sabrina Carpenter, little girl with a big voice. I so wasn't expecting that sound to come from her :)

I didn't get to finish the other two, my computer's goofy with youtube now that my brother 'fixed' my computer...
But I'm so glad there are people putting these things out there. Especially the very young people.

Yeah I know! The girl in the video you posted - I've seen some of her other stuff posted by my friends on facebook. She's so concise and to-the-point.

Actually…I searched YouTube for something like "song I wrote about abortion." Did you know people actually write songs FOR abortion? There was this one guy who sang something horrific like, "You got a problem, we can fix it, you've got nothing to fear unless you're the fetus…"

That little girl is amazing. I'd say she definitely has a future in politics or law or something.

"Did you know people actually write songs FOR abortion? There was this one guy who sang something horrific like, "You got a problem..."

Wow, that's disgusting! People are so completely twisted sometimes.

If you guys are on facebook, there's a great pro-life group/cause where the admin or whatever posts alot of really great stuff every day. I think it's just called 'Pro-life' and there's a pic of a pregnant girl as the profile pic.

I'm not sure how it's going at the moment, I know people are trying to stop it, but the U.S. House of Representatives voted to cut off all federal funding for Planned Parenthood after all those undercover videos thanks to Live Action came out showing PP employees routinely assisting illegal activity like child sex trafficking.

Our wonderful (heavy sarcasm, here) president has said that he would veto any vote in that direction - he's so incredibly transparently evil, it's ridiculous. Luckily there are ways around such things.

I just found this on facebook - one of the profile pictures of a pro-life page!

"Choose life, then, that you and your descendants may live…" Deut. 30:19

message 18: by anjali (new)

anjali Awww ah-dorable! I just heart that.

It is sad how some people can make an imporatant desicion like abortion in seconds. If I were in that state, then I would die for my child. But if I already had children that needed me, then the decision would probably have to be thought through. I'm just mad that it isn'tconsidered murder and u dont go to trial. Who ever doesn't have a reasonable explanation should rot in prison. The baby wouldn't even be able to open its eyes to see the wondrful world that God gave us.

That's the thing. Everyone thinks they have a good reason for doing that. It's subjective. And they don't really believe it's a person, so any old reason is a good one.

That's because they(I'm assuming you mean 'pro-choicers'?) believe that it's not really human yet, so it doesn't matter. They believe the same lies Satan's been telling for centuries.

I dropped out of a debate about that not too long ago because I was sick and tired of going in circles and disgusted by the twisted thinking some people have about the value of unborn babies.

message 29: by anjali (new)

Oh, yeah, that. That's pretty sad. I've had to define what an actual Christian is to people claiming to be. They still didn't get it though.
I just wish they wouldn't call themselves Christians. Gives us a bad name.

message 31: by anjali (new)

anjali IKR!!! They kept telling me my way of practicing christianity was wrong and we kept arguing all the time. the discussion was an infinity sign, never ending.

luhvBOOKS wrote: "IKR!!! They kept telling me my way of practicing christianity was wrong and we kept arguing all the time. the discussion was an infinity sign, never ending."

lol, yeah, pretty much. I had one "discussion" with someone in the other Christian group that went on and on and on and on...until she finally got mad at me, called me a bunch of names and left and/or was deleted from the group.
All I did was refuse to accept her "logic" on her insane beliefs about God. Which really, I wouldn't think would be deserving of such behavior, really. I mean why should she care so much what I thought? But I guess people don't like hearing that there's not a million and one ways to God. That they might be sinners *gasp!*

message 33: by anjali (new)

anjali lol yea.

So true....G4b's logic on christianity was a bunch of loogie!!! (sorry didn't want to say something else =))
she kept posting websites on the proper way to believe. Insanity is RITE!!

I honestly feel sorry for them. They're going to have a rude awakening one day when it's too late.

message 35: by anjali (new)

anjali So true...ikr. It is sad. And the worst part is they corrupt the intelligent mind's of others. when i joined, i invited one of my other friends too. when i realized this was nawt the group for me or any ither christian i left. Before i did, i told my friend that this was a group of bad people who just dont understand the ways and word of God and question his every move! She had been corrupted and turned against me. I regret the day i invited her into the group.

Sadly, though, that's how Satan works. It's so easy for him to appeal to our human logic and we don't even realize he's doing it.
But that's basically why i kept answering certain people in my debates. I was actually tired of it, but I felt like I had to correct the outrageous ideas they said so other people reading wouldn't believe it.
I haven't answered one of them in a while actually...lol, I just haven't been in the mood to put up with it.

message 37: by anjali (new)

anjali I was tired of it too but i wasn't gonna let them win the discussion. But after many arguemenets it was time to let it go for i could not get through to those ppl

message 38: by Kristen (new)

Kristen | 149 comments Mod
Yeah, our instinct is to want to prove them wrong and make them understand. Just our pride, really. They won't get it unless they want to. (1 Cor. 2:14), They have to have faith and then they'll get it.
All we can do is tell them the truth. The rest is up to God.
As long as we put it out there for them, God can use it to change their minds.

OMG Look what G4B told me: In order to be a christian you must reject all concepts of God because we believe he is far better then anything we can comprehend

AND OF COURSE I DONT BELIEVE HER.

Wow...You should tell her the definition of a Christian is "a follower of Christ" who quite adamantly preached the Bible and what it says about God.
Why can't these people pick some other religion to make a mess of????
