I am looking forward to reading this one. I liked the Drake Sisters series.

I'm about 130 pages in and I'm enjoying it. I couldn't figure out who exactly the guy was at first. I know who he's related to and all, but I couldn't place him. Luckily I remember now that it's getting into the book. It runs from the end of the last Drake book. Really just the same day or the day after.

If I remember the set up, wasn't her one of Illya's brothers that got away from where Elle was being held? I just picked up this book from the library, am hoping to get to it over the weekend.

He was on the ship when it blew up. I'm not loving the outside cover, but I love the little secondary cover. He's cute.

I agree with you about the cover.

I wish I could post that secondary pic here. I think people would drool.

I finished it. I liked it. It's a little slower than some of the others, but I think there's a reason for it.

Even though I know the cover is about the guy rescuing the girl from the water, it looks like a really cheesy 80's hot tub porno scene to me.

Why? I don't really know.

It looks bad. The inside cover is just him on the beach but still in the waves and he's kind of pushing himself up. You'd never guess it, but he's cute when shot from a different angle.

The inside picture is much better for sure.

I liked how Rikki was written, you don't often see autistic characters. What I really liked was that she was written as a strong person that has issues to deal with and I liked how those that cared about her altered their actions to better help her.

Is the Drake Sisters series supposed to be read before this?

It is better if you do. You will have a better understanding as the guys have a similar magic background as the Drake Sisters.

Ya, plus, one of the characters in the first book is connected to a guy from the Drake Sisters books.

Do you think think all of the boys will be his brothers? Or, do you think they'll all be differnet boys?

I do think that all the boys will be brothers. I thought that when we first met Illya he mentioned that his family was like the Drakes, only with boys, you know 7 sons, the youngest always having 7, each of the boys with some sort of "magical" (for lack of a better word) power.

Ya, that's what he said. Plus, this series will have 6 books and seeing how 1 boy is in the Drake Sister's... I figured that's how it would turn out. I guess we'll find out for. She doesn't mention them on the page for the series so who knows.
