I liked it, but not as much as I did The Mortal Instruments. Most importantly, I think the era doesn't suite me - I was never much of historical person. And the characters didn't feel like they were from 19th century - more like a mix of 19th and 21st century.
But Cassandra Clare still works with suspense and loves mean cliffhangers, so it'll be hard to read only a chapter a day.

Ginny, when you get to it, let me know what you think of Red-Headed Stepchild.
