The Classics discussion

Hello list - Just retired and trying out a couple of classics - couldn't put this one down. I was surprised by the timeliness of issues e.g. women's rights and immigration. Can anyone recommend a specific biography of Tolstoy? Last night I watched the movie The Station about his relationships with his wife - found it fascinating and want to read her bio now also.
