1. My best friend bought me a Death Note.

1. Nearly up to date with all metal tech projects, just need to spend a 10 minutes on past projects then I'm up to date with the rest of the class again! :D

2. Got told how wonderful Liquor (my work place) looked when the guy opened Sunday, when I closed Saturday. This guy being the manager! :D

3. Got my tax back! Whee!!

1. Had an email from my lecturer giving me a chance to send her something to add to my assignment so she didn't have to fail me. Yay for second chances... Stupid Reference list....

2. Did a good deed by driving a friend's brother to get an xray of his (possibly) broken foot.

3. Feeling more clear headed today. Thank Zeus for cold meds!

XD It always springs to mind when I'm around you.

Also I can't believe it! I was working most of the day so I only saw the last 5 minutes and OMG! Those poor people. The whole stadium was silent. I couldn't stop laughing. It had almost been a repeat of the last time they went head to head. Now they have to do it all again. Though... I can't believe how many tickets have been sold... I would have thought too many people would be too upset to go. Oh well... At least I'll be home for this weekend. :D

1. Decided I will see 'Tomorrow when the war began' with my brother this weekend. He's broken his ankle and going nuts with being stuck at home. So I decided to be kind and treat him.

2.Set up the PS2 in my Granny Flat! :D

3. Found out DBZ Abridged will have a new episode up soon!! :D

I hope "Tomorrow When the War Began" is good, I have my doubts (because the trailers look so bad!) but you never know. I mean, I saw "The Last Airbender" last night, and it was freaking awesome! There was lots left out of course, but the way it was done was still really good, and it looks like the films will be in four parts :P

1. Went into town (which I haven’t done in a while)

2. A guy from the band “A Sound Mind” was pitching their music in the street. Apparently they’re a Melbourne band and they’re currently touring Australia and they toured parts of Europe last year and plan to do it again soon. I told him to tour in London so I could see him :P and I bought their album for $15

Well I rather enjoyed it. Was good fun. Also Ellie is less annoying! Glad to hear "The Last Airbender: was good!

3. Got my Poverty Brochures printered for my lesson (which I have to teach) on Tuesday.

Homer was my favourite character in the fist book (I would say the series but I haven't gotten around to reading the rest yet). I'm amazed the film was actually good! The trailers made it look so bad! - I hate crappy trailers (Avatar anyone?)

1. Saw "Charlie St. Cloud" with my mother (because she insisted. It’s not that I don't like love stories, in fact, it’s quite the opposite - I love, well, love stories, but I hardly go see any in the cinemas because to make a love story work its takes a lot of passion and dedication to both the acting and script, and there's just not a lot of love stories like that these days...) It wasn't too bad, a bit bland and predictable but not as bad as I thought it may be...


2. Realised that my phone was not broken after all and was filled with great relief.

3. Going to a drive with my best friend in half an hour and that pretty much means "road trip" :P

2. Caught up on my DeviantArt site. Only 100 pictures to look at (down from 300)

3. And I got my tyres all replaced (as they were all stuffed and replaced with cheaper tyres!)

And, I too, need to catch up on my DA account! I don't even remember the last time I went on there! When I'm settled in London I've decided I'm going to get back into art and take classes again. So, maybe you'll see something from me there in the next few months?

This is the only topic people are posting on. The group only works if you ask for help, that's what it's for. This is my last active group, and if I can't help, and all that's being said is pointless things in your lives, why should I check in with Goodreads at all?

Why are you always so negative about everything? Does it really matter that this is the most active topic? In my opinion, this thread does help because it helps people see the positive aspects of their lives. You may see them as pointless but it’s just a way to help us all see the brighter side of life.

I thought it would be a good idea to make a topic like this; to keep the group active, to be in a better fame of thinking, to communicate with one another. But if you don't think so then that's just fine, everyone’s entitled to their own opinion, but I would be grateful if you would respect others and see that just because you don't see it as helping others, I do.

Seeing how this is supposed to be a thread on positive thinking to help change you outlook on life, I find it rather irritating you would post such a negative comment here.

If you find it pointless and the group just not active enough for you then, please, take it somewhere else. No one is forcing you to be here.

To be honest, I don't know what kind of response you were expecting from leaving a comment like this? I find it rather rude in some cases and even a bit angsty.

As to your question to whether you should check in with Goodreads anymore, well, that's entirely up to you. Does it fell like a chore to keep checking in with us? Because right now that's what it seems to be. If it feels like that, then don't check in at all.

It's not that I have a problem with it being the most active topic. My problem is that it's the ONLY active topic. I'm not saying I don't like everyone to be positive, but that's all you're saying. It's outside of group purpose. You can still post here and be positive, just post in other parts of the group too.

People do post in other parts of the group, and obviously this topic would be the most active seeing how it's a daily post. When we need help we come here (to the group)and ask for it, I sure know I do, but there aren't many active memebers here at the moment so you can't expect the other topic to be so active. You need to just take a step back and people will post topics asking for help when they need it.

Really, no need to stress, if people aren't asking for help then that's partly a good thing - they're doing just fine :)

lol, how nerdy can you get? I didn't know there was anybody geeky enough to watch Battlestar Galactica. lol, I'm just messin with ya. I would write a 3 positive things if I had 3. Same thing with the 3 negative things topic. lol, I needa get a life dont I?

I know. And to make it even worse I'm a girl with no life outside geekiness. Maybe I shouldn't mention my sonic or TMNT shirts I picked up today. lol

Anyway...

1. Found some awesome shirts today. Some Geeky ones and one nice for when I'm teaching later this year.

2. Finally finished an Australian short story book. Awesome but took me forever to get through it.

3. I found a penny! Really! An American penny at the coffee shop. (Lives in Australia)
