What was your initial response to the hijacking of Peeta (besides horror)? Did you think it was an interesting twist to the book, or did you wish it hadn't happened?

Personally, I think Katniss deserved this so she would stop taking Peeta's niceness for granted. Though I am Team Gale, I do feel sorry for Peeta somteimes.

Thoughts?

I think Katniss deserved it the way she used both guys... but I feel sorry for Peeta. He shld've been saved from the arena too, it wasn't fair 2 leave him. Also, he loses his character n it's sad to see him other than his usual sweet loving self. evntho, katniss didn't deserve that frum him! lol i think u get me

i guess. i have to say that throughout the entire series bella is weak.. diring the first two books katniss is soo strong then in the last book she just becomes this week person htat everyone uses

Oh, I see you're point about the tagging along thing, Amina. She tagged Gale along the whole way. Only to love Peeta bunches, lol. You'd think that since I'm Team Gale, I'd be Team Jacob. But NO.

Anyway, Katniss was broken in MJ. But it was understandable. I still think she might have had a bit more sympathy for Peeta.

totally Reb, same her team gale, but team edrwad. no jacob. like in twilight, bella does mention she loves ed alot... but katniss is like kissing one, one tim and the other the next day. I hate dat kinda thing.

Yes. B sorta drug Jacob along during Eclipse, but she only kissed him that one time. And that's because he was toying with her emotions. Ugh.

I HATED that. Katniss just kissed whomever was available at the time. No matter how mentally screwed up she was . . . she shouldn't have done that. Even if it looked like Peeta would never be himself again after the hijacking . . . she shouldn't have kissed Gale unless she meant it.

Yes, I suppose. At least he got some kisses before Katniss realized Peeta could be somewhat saved. Sigh...

This is the first book series I've read where the main character did not end up with who i wanted her with. I don't care for the feeling.

yeah. i think atha the book would have beedn better if she said at the end after proim died and her mokm left her goodbye or just left and the epilogue was about her finding a new country where everything was beuatuifula nd free

i never pictured katniss being a mother. you can be a good wife without getting pregnant! i never pictured her being a wife, either.

when they got married i thought that since tehre were no more hunger gaes she would have kids.

if teh hunger games had still been going on then she wouldnt have but since peeta wanted them she would have one for him becuase aktniss felt like she owed him that.

Yeah, I was very surprised Katniss let Peeta talk her into kids. They can be very stressful, and Katniss should live in peace for the rest of her life . . . but I understand that she did it to make Peeta happy. I just hope she grew to really love them.

i would never have kids. they seem really annoying. (I should know --I am!)
