Not at all - the movie coming out in December is just Twilight. I heard tell that they were discussing whether or not they would like to film the next two sequels at the same time (which would make sense, so that the vampires don't appear to get *too* much older) but those would be two separate movies a la LOTR... No news on whether or not that will actually happen until they see how Twilight does.

Which seems very, very silly, because I know about half of the female population is going to be at the theatre at midnight opening day.

I really, REALLY hope it doesn't suck, guys...

i hope they make all four books into movies. i hope they don't scrue up the film to, but i like who the acters are in the film.

Nope, it's just the first book. I would love it if they continued the movies though, to the very last book. IT WOULD BE AWESOME!

yes! although i've noticed that most of the time, the movies of good books don't turn out as good as the books... (ears droop)

Because in the Entertainment Weekly magazine that came out July 11th, they had a whole section about the Twilight movie...and on the cover, it said "Exclusive information on the FIRST movie of the Twilight Saga..."

On the first movie...doesn't that sound like they're making more?

Oh yes and I've noticed that...movies of good books aren't actually good.

*the actors are contracteted for the next two. (They did this for pirates as well, they contracted the actors before the got a go ahead for the next movies, so there wouldn't be issues with payment and things like that)

but as of now stephenie has not signed over the rights, so the other movies ARE NOT in the works

and yes, I'm sure of all of this. It's on stephenies site.

I am still going to keep my hopes up for all four movies. But thanks for the info.

Of course, I think we all are hoping they will make the rest of the books into movies, but the one coming out will only contain content from Twilight.

I found proof that they're making more than just the first twilight movie! This was taken directly from the movie site:

i'm soooo excited for all of them..but hopefully the first movie doesn't suck...or they are parts that are missing from the book.
But i think i more excied for Eclipse movie then the first or the scond movie.thanks for the info. guys!!!

i REALLY HOPE THIS IS A GOOD MOVIE,I think it is though. i would really like to see the other books become movies too. and opening night i have at 15 of my friends (girls) going to c it with me :)

i am going to the movie with my friend who loves twilight like me. I LOVE EDWARD!!!!!

I'm half/half...I really don't want to see the movie because whenever I see movies after books, they actors always take over how I imagined the characters- like with Harry Potter, I don't remember how I originally imagined the characters, now all I can think of are the actors. It ruined the books for me and I can't take it back.

But I'm also curious...I want to see how the movie is made and I want to see my favorite book come into reality and not just my imagination!! So I can't decide!! Argh!!!

Nope!! At least, 1 and 2 are positive, and probably they're also going to do 3. They've started to write the script for New Moon right now.

They wrote the script 4 new moon but they can't make the movie till Stephenie signs over the rights.

After what i just read.... dont worry NO spoilers... I dont know if they can even put this into a movie. I think it would send kids the wrong message. And as much as i hate Hollywood this is so not what they're looking for. I am thoroughly disappointed

Breaking Dawn would be a very long movie, imo.

There is NO WAY they will allow this movie to be made. They'll wrap it all up in eclipse if anything. Hollywood does some strange things but supporting underage marriage and pregnancy isn't one of those things.

i still have hope that they turn all the books into movie's.

I cant wait till December! They'll only make the other books into movies if the first one does well so make sure you drag as many people into the theater as you can.

yeah i totally agree about the whole pregnancy thing. i mean, also what about the birth scene? isn't it supposed to be all bloody, with bella vomiting blood and stuff? or am i just overreacting?

well i dont think hollywood has anything against blood and gross stuff
but i would love if breaking dawn was made into a movie
its such a great story
and it has the "happy ending" that resolves the series
even if they cut the birth scene
and dont put as much focus on the marriage and stuff (though that would be hard)
u cant just end with eclipse!

If the first three movies make money they'll make the fourth...that how the world turns.

I heared if Twilight is a succsess (Which it probably will be, besides the fact that they're "editing") then they'll film the rest of the books.

They are already filming New Moon. They are going to do all the books...they said they are filming them straight though since Bella (and the other kids at school)are the only ones that age.

I wish I could time travel to December!

Movie will now be released on November 21 since Harry Potter's movie is being moved to Summer 2009. Now we only have to wait 3 months rather than 4. :-)
