Ask for suggestions to add to your 'to read list.' Specify a genre you'd like to try. Describe things your interested in reading. What are a couple of books have you liked, what is one you've weren't able to read?

Then look over what others post, and email - through Goodreads - some suggestions to at least three people.

I'm looking for something historical. I don't read much historical fiction, and I'd like to try that next. I tend to prefer male characters, but loved The Hunger Games, so can manage female characters if the book is good. I really don't like Gossip Girl's books, so strong plot is more important than relationships between characters. I'd prefer any excellent book to an average one.

Megan | 7 comments I would suggest a book that is dark and is very detailed. I like books like Thr3e and Deadly Little Lies and another one i would suggest is Blue Is For Nightmares. These books are kind of dark in there own ways and the have a great amount of detail. While Im reading these books I get captured inside of them and sometimes I feel like Im actually in the book with all of the other charectors.

Robert (rockinrobert) | 4 comments I would like to read a book like Roses Are Red. The genre is like suspense and mystery. I would also like to recomend Roses are Red, it is a very good book. Very good if you like to be on the edge of your seat spazing out about what is happening in your book. Main characters are great.James Patterson is the author by the way.

Ive been wanting a great scary book, like about ghosts, or spirts. Not killers as in Wicked Dead: Torn. Send me suggestions ASAP!

message 11: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer Kim | 6 comments I'm looking for books that are serious and realistic. Books that can actually give me life lessons. I would like the main character be my age or older. Also I am a very indecisive person so...I would like to read books that can help me judging any different situation.

message 13: by Anne (new)

Anne | 5 comments I'm looking for fantasy.I don't read books like Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, Twilight, or dark fantasy with lots of killing in it so finding a book is a bit of a challenge. I'm currently enjoying
Redwall and loved C.S. Lewis's Narnia Series. I also could use a good mystery story like in Chasing Vermeer.

message 14: by Alyssa (new)

Alyssa | 4 comments Christina: I think you should try reading the Immortal Series.. they will keep you on your toes and keep you guessing threw all of the books. Either that, or you should read the House of Night Series, those books are quite good as well.

message 15: by Josh (new)

Josh Lun | 6 comments I prefer fiction over nonfiction books, so far my favorite two series would be the Pendragon series by D.J. MacHale and the Redwall series by Brian Jacques. Both are a very good series of books with highly detailed characters and a suspenseful plot. Anybody have any suggestions for some new books??
